Mine was free… for us at least. It was a family diamond. I’m very glad he didn’t use all of his money on it b/c we just bought a house and we’re having a baby. We need all the money we can get!

Mine was $200. When we started discussing engagements, I told my boyfriend that if he spent over $1000 I’d be really uncomfortable. I mean, when you get down to it, it’s just a piece of jewelry.

Like the OP, mine is sterling silver. It has a teeny tiny little diamond in there, only about .015 carats, and the engagement ring and matching band (with 8 similarly tiny diamonds) hold about 1/7 of one carat altogether.

I love that the ring is handcrafted. It’s not completely perfect, which is a nice reminder of the beautiful imperfection of married life. It’s small and cute rather than “stunning”, but there’s not another one out there exactly like it.

Yay for inexpensive rings! I’ll add my set since I just found the receipt for my ering while cleaning, hehe. My center stone was handed down from my side of the family = free Smile My fiance traded in old scrap gold & jewelry against the cost of the setting he picked & ended up paying $850.00 total for the ring. My band I found on overstock.com for $300, with a coupon it came out to $230! I absolutely love my set & I’m thrilled we didn’t go into debt to have it on my finger ๐Ÿ˜‰

I really gotta take some new pics as my rings have been posted a million times here (sorry!)

My ring is currently being made by a jeweller on etsy, it’s sterling silver with a pink sapphire and a gold hydrangea blossom on it -it cost $203 and the wedding ring is a sterling silver band with a little gold honey bee on it-when they’re paired up the honey bee is sitting near the hygrangea blossom.  It’s super cute and way more my style than anything expensive, our entire ring set cost less than $500 =D

I believe my e-ring and wedding band/wrap totaled under $2k. We got some great deals and waited out for some sales. ๐Ÿ™‚ Darling Husband ring was $30.

Don’t know exact numbers, but I know my wedding band was $99 (so proud of my normally shy Fiance for making the sales people honor the price listed online, when it was listed as a “in-store only” item).  Engagement Ring was appraised for $1,500, but not sure what he actually paid for it, since it was custom work.  So glad we went the sapphire route…

@ingeborgslilly: Oh, and I actually suggested a ring very similiar to that when Fiance was really stressing about saving enough money.  Lovely choice!

All these “inexpensive” rings are GORGEOUS! And you would NEVER know.

I know my Fiance got a STEAL for my ring, I’ve taught him to well. lol And I’m happy to report that I adore it. Definitely haven’t seen anything like it, which makes me love it even more! =)

Im not sure which categories/technical names that my ring falls under, but its 1CT (TDW) since it consists of smaller diamonds. and I dont plan on doing a wedding band or anything.

I love my set! Though the bands are a little wide so I probably won’t wear them together. It is a little hard to see but the band has a cross with a tiny diamond in the middle of it ๐Ÿ™‚
