I’ve never been a fan of halos- except on gemstones. I love the contrast of the diamonds framing a different color gemstone.

What I’m “over” is someone voicing her snotty opinion for no other reason than to make other Bees feel bad about themselves.

Future_Mrs_Craig:  An opinion that simultaneously puts down a huge group of women while “not hurting anyone’s feelings”… I wonder how anyone possibly took that the wrong way? Not sure why you felt compelled enough to start an entire thread criticizing one of the most popular ring styles, and then tell others it’s perfectly fine, no one was offended, and “just don’t reply.”

Future_Mrs_Craig:  Well, despite not meaning to, you managed to offend quite a few people. Perhaps you should proofread your posts next time and arrange your words more carefully. Telling those that you offended to not reply is even more snotty than your original post.

Future_Mrs_Craig:  I’m definitely not upset. I was just expressing my opinion as everyone else has. If you don’t want people expressing their opinions, don’t create a thread.

I’ve never been on the halo bandwagon. But I have a three stone and lots of people don’t like those either.

Thank goodness there are so many different choices.

there was a girl in high school who used to use ‘i’m not being rude, i’m just being honest’ as her catchphrase – she’d use it when she didn’t like your hair, your clothes, whatever. guess what? she was rude – because that comment just didn’t need to be said.

i’m ‘over’ things too – but i’m not going to voice that opinion a propos of absolutely nothing when no one asked to a group of people that i KNOW includes people who have those things because putting ‘no offense’ or ‘don’t get me wrong…’ in front of a negative comment doesn’t turn it into a postive one.

i have a halo – and i’m not annoyed at all that you’re over my choice of ring because i love it, i just think it’s an embarrassingly bad save to try and claim that it ‘was not your intention’ to offend anyone by posting that you’re over a certain ring style….on a ring board….which includes many people with that style. here’s hoping you have more tact in real life.

additionally – when my 75 year old great aunt saw my ring for the first time, she teared up and told me that it reminded her of the rings in our family and that ‘it must be an antique’ – and she’s right. also – i’m the only one i know who has one – everyone else i know either has a three stone or solitaire.

I was so sure I wanted a halo. But seriously EVERYONE I know who is recently engaged has one. Still think they are beautiful, but I too am over them.

Future_Mrs_Craig:  Thos post is actually against the TOS.

“Please do not post threads or comments for the sole purpose of criticizing, mocking, or otherwise disparaging others’ wedding, waiting, or nesting choices.”<br />

It can also be seen as baiting.

ilikeballet:  I try to stay out of threads that I know is going to create drama, but I must agree with you. This thread is quite blatantly rude and insulting to numerous Bee’s who chose a halo. That’s like making thread saying about being “over” solitaires, or moissanites or diamonds. Honestly, to each it’s own. No one is going to be wearing whichever ring you chose, so rock it!

LilLis:  Actually, she is Princess William of Wales.  She can be referred to be her husband’s title.  It was just easier to type Priness that Dutchess of Cambridge.  And, yes, that was pretty snarky.
