Haha, not at all. Here’s what I can remember:

Junior prom: Slinky, red, low-cut

Senior prom: Off-white, poofy cupcake skirt with some pickups.

Wedding: Short green form-fitting dress with a high collar.

I am actually terrified that I will look just like i did at my prom!  I sought to find a dress nothing like mine, but got one similar. Both are a-line, beaded at the top, and straight across.  However my prom dress had straps and far less details, and my wedding dress does havve more poof to it.  I’ll just have to be sure not to wear my hair too similar…

Mine is nothing alike, thank goodness!  HS prom was … *gasp* almost 15 years ago!  Mine was a high square necked shapeless drape of ugly velvety-like black blob.  I was pretty insecure with wearing anything tight and totally clueless.  Wedding dress: fitted slim A line, sweet heart.  I’m a bit more comfortable in my skin now than in HS.

Awesome thread! I laughed aloud and my Fiance asked, “What’s so funny?” and I said, “I’m sorry, I can’t say yet!” as he might be able to guess details of my dress now. A couple months ago I marveled at some of the similarities between my prom and wedding dress. I’ll have to explore a little to find my prom pics but yes, so true! Can’t wait to see more posts! 🙂

I love this post! It is really funny because my wedding dress is made by the same company that made my senoir prom dress. While they are not completely similar, they do have some of the same features. I love the ruffles of both and the bit of sparkle they each have. On my wedding dress, I am having the shoulder strap removed so it will be strapless with the sweetheart neckline.

I so wish I could post my wedding dress on here! Boo to Fiance for trying to find pics of it. :/ :/

But there are a few similar elements between the three dresses, for sure. Particularly to my Junior prom dress, which was my favorite dress ever before the wedding dress.

I wish I had been allowed to go to prom…I’ve been with my Fiance since high school, so we would’ve went together 3 years! (He was a junior when I was a sophomore, and he went to college locally during my senior year).  But my parents were super-conservative, so they said no.  Booo.  I feel like I missed a rite of passage!

I wore an A line for my junior prom and a (kinda) fit and flare that wasnt altered right so it was too loose. But i want a ballgown or a bigger aline….I HATED my senior prom dress i settled on it because we had been dress shopping for like 5 hours and it was the only thing that had enough pouf and wasnt hideous that zipped all the way.
