@lilchicana: Ok, I find that a mixture of “that’s a little odd – housework?” & “I could totally see myself do that!”. ๐ I guess, in the end of the day, it’s a reminder of a great day so why not?!
@mishagirls79: Thank you! For me it’s the perfect dress as our wedding & reception is pretty much out in the forest = not possible to have something with a train.
@dreamhazer: I hope that works out for you, I do think it’s so special when it does (I had a friend getting married in her mum’s dress & it was beautiful!). If not, you can make it into a christening dress.
@bebero: Nice! Great that all events were “informal” enough to allow short dresses, makes it so much easier!
@Treejewel19: I love that idea! If my friends ever get married (not likely though, they don’t believe in marriage…) I’ll suggest something similar!

@emf51912: +1.
I’ve seen photoshoots where a bunch of married girl friends get together in their wedding dresses. They turn out really cool and I’d love to do something like that!

@eocenia: I am dyeing mine and wearing it again. No question. Your dress is beautiful, and would be beautiful in another color. I found this link: http://vegetalion.blogspot.com/2012/01/how-to-dye-wedding-dress.html on how to do it and it seems pretty straightforward. (Note, this is my actual dress, this is not me, and I am thinking I will do purple for Ravens games.) I definitely think it’s easier to do with a shorter dress since who really wears long dresses regularly but there are so many beautiful options and ways to alter dresses. And why not go for it? If it doesn’t turn out how you like you were still probably going to wear it just once anyway. ๐

People are gonna hate this…but we’re def gonna be a bride and groom zombie next halloween. We’re gonna go all out and get a photoshoot with it.
(Not that I think anyone needs a qualifier to do what they want with their dress) but just for those thinking I could save a poor persons life with my hand me down dress…it cost 25$. So less than you would spend on an actual halloween costume LOL.
Not to mention we’re huge horror movie buffs…and I’m the president of a horror movie club. It’s sort of my thing.
Maybe we’ll do a wedding zombie party for our local friends or something…pretty much after the wedding it will be my zombie wedding dress for any such needed occasions ๐

@emf51912: This is so crazy! I randomly told my little sister the other day that once the last of us gets married, we’re going to have an elegant, catered wedding dress party on Valentine’s Day w/our husbands dressed up as well.
BUT, like you & your sisters, this won’t happen for a long time since the youngest of our “sisters” is still in her teens! I absolutely adore the fact that someone else is doing this, as well.
@icetea: I love zombies with a weird burning passion, so I will be the first one to say that your Halloween idea is phenomenal on so many levels!

@allyfally: Yes, I can definitely understand the “one time” aspect if you plan to resell it. In my case, it’s “only” $675 – so I don’t think I’ll get that much for it, I rather just rock it then!
@soontobeMrsBoo: Oh, I hadn’t thought of dying this one due to all the details – but that dress came out great so I might give it a try in a few years. For now I’ll keep it white though, feel like I can pull off the bride thing for a little longer. ๐
@icetea: Your dress was an amazing find – so cute! For $25, I would pretty much do anything in it without giving it a second thought. If horror is your thing, I think it will be a perfect outfit for Halloween!
