I’m in Indianapolis as well and yes, it’s definitely getting nasty. I’m so glad I decided to call into work today as I would have ended up being sent home immediately anyway (my manager decided to close the office right when I would have arrived according to a co-worker). My husband went into work but they ended up completely shutting down his office too so now he’s on his way home. I’m hoping he makes it back okay as conditions are definitely getting worse. Stay safe, everyone!

I’m in northwest ohio and they have us under a blizzard warning in my county. It hasn’t started to snow just yet. I’m hoping it really doesn’t. I have to work at 12am tonight and I really don’t want to drive my usual 40 mins in a blizzard. I normally wouldn’t hesitate to call off but it’s inventory night and I’m the only one in my department who knows how to do it.

In Columbus here. We’ve got like 3 inches already and it’s wet and windy. I’d imagine it’s going to be moving your way 🙁
Heading into work half an hour earlier than usual. Takes me 15 usually; with traffic and shit roads, allowing 45 minutes. So glad I’m mid-shift tonight and not closing!

Chicago keeps getting missed. We had a storm come through last week and all we got was some flurries and more ice than anything. No real snow. Now we are just being missed by this one too, its south of us. I want all or nothng, don’t give me flurries or moisture that freezes. Either give me a blizzard thats gonna make my job let us stay home so I don’t have to commute or just let it be cold and let’s keep this winter moving.

Yeah, thats what i am afraid of. I live about 40 mins away from work. I know I’ll get up at 1030 tonight and see what it’s like outside. I can’t wake FH to take me cause he has to work at 5am and that would be a lot of driving for him. So my fingers are crossed that it’s not too bad tonight.

@Robin_Sparkles: We live in West Lafayette, but DH works in Indy. Against my better judgement, he drove into work, so he’s there safely, but I have no idea if he’ll even be able to drive home tonight. Doesn’t look good…

I’m in Vermont, but we’re getting the same big storm– but a little less snow predicted for us. It’s supposed to come tomorrow, which is when I have an appointment I really wanted to keep– blargh.
I do love snow though! I can’t wait to cross-country ski!

I am from Armstrong Co and we are getting steady snow. I called off today because of the snow coming and I didn’t feel well today.

Typically when they say 3 – 5 inches on the weather report, it means 1 – 2. I think we have four inches already and it isn’t showing any signs of stopping!

We have a solid 6 and now it’s snowing ice pellets so it will be interesting this afternoon.

We got a nice little blanket of snow here in Dallas yesterday. It’s not uncommon for us to get a little snow in January or February, but to have snow in December (on Christmas, no less) is a bit odd! I’ll take it, though. Looks awesome!

Well I just took the dog we are babysitting for a walk and it was not fun. Wind is blowing, snow is falling. By the time we got back all our intital tracks were gone. I saw one snow plow but it’s not keeping up. We have at least 4 inches since noon. And I just saw a snowmobile go down our main street. Haha love living in a small town

They keep telling us to prepare for ice. I’m a little worried about the ice!
