@SoontobeMrsA: Me!

I can’t tell you how many toes I’ve broken running into things.

Just 2 weeks ago I was out to dinner with a bunch of people (including my friend’s parents) and I elbowed the waiter in the crotch (accidentally of course) when he was trying to deliver my food!

@SoontobeMrsA:hahah I try to be beautiful and sophisticated but let me just tell you that waitressing was not my forte nor is being graceful. I also tend to say the most awkward things  in all forms of situations. What can I say?!?

Same here. I’m always walking into things and stubbing my toe or smashing my elbow into a doorframe or something. I also tend to knock beverage glasses over at meals.

I’ll be really impressed with myself if I don’t trip or knock something over at my wedding.

Haha, I can walk around just fine most of the time (knock on wood), but I’m really awkward talking to people in these kinds of situations.. greeting all of the guests will be just strange for me!

I’m absolutely terrible. I walk into things all the time. You’re not alone.

@kingytobe: Ahh, I admit I’m not really looking forward to that part. I need to make small talk with 60+ people? Really? I have no idea what to say besides “Thank you for coming!”

ETA: Fiance is also socially awkward, which will make it even more fun!

@SoontobeMrsA: I hear you. I’m a lousy dancer and I’m worried I won’t look pretty even with the dress and fancy hair and makeup. I’m not at all photogenic so I’m terrified my wedding photos will all be horrible.

I used to teach dance classes, and taking some ballroom classes will help with coordination. I used to tell my students with two left feet, if you can walk then you can dance. Never did I have a student leave my class without being to do basic dances at the least.

I don’t know what they call them now, but as kids we took “grace” classes. I can still take a set of stairs with a book on my head. There might be something similar in your area.

@tksjewelry: I took cotillion as a kid, didn’t help me at all.

I also took Latin dance in college and do zumba now. I always feel like I must look so good, then then I catch a glance of my awkward flailing self in the mirror!
