I guess it really depends on hospital policy on this. When my sister was in highschool (probably 15 or 16), she did a week long “internship” at my brother in law’s hospital. She was present for surgeries, exams, etc. I’m not sure if they did or had to introduce her as such and ask for permission but I’m guessing all of that is a matter of hospital policy.

This is in sweden, too so I really don’t even know what goes on in their health care system.

I honestly probably wouldn’t have cared, assuming the teenager was there on some sort of internship program and didn’t just come to “bring your kid to work day”.
