Yes! I just ordered my dress yesterday and had a huge freakout along the lines of “OMG I JUST SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON A DRESS AND THIS WHOLE PLANNING PROCESS IS STUPID AND I AM GOING TO END UP DIVORCED AND THEN BE EMBARRASSED.” And then I got home, hung out with my fiance, and everything was back to normal and happy and calm. It comes and goes in waves, for sure, but I think it’s normal!

I’m with you. I get that it is family and friends, but the thought of 100 ppl watching me walk down an aisle, sayvows, dance at reception, etc. is absolutely TERRIFYING!

Funny you should post this, I haven’t had any nerves or anything at all until today.  Hug! By The Way I’m the same age 27.

I was really scared about being the center of attention. But when the time came and I started walking down the aisle it felt like just me and my husband were the only ones there. All the nerves went away and I was just completely and totally peacefully happy!

I think I would’ve cried if I had to walk down the aisle in front of my whole, huge, extended family. Luckily we’re only having about 30 guests. The spotlight and I are not friends.

I’m with you girl! I’m am beyond scared of the day itself. So may questions; will I trip, will my makeup look okay, will I mess up my vows? We’ll all be just fine though and it will be an amazing day we will never forget!!

Nope, I’m not scared a bit.  I can’t wait.  Well, I am scared of it raining because our wedding is being held outdoors.  Other than that, I’m all about being in the spotlight, lol.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

Don’t worry, you’ll be fine!

Just because all eyes will be on you, and you’ll be the center of attention, wearing a blinding white dress and walking down a long, long, long aisle that will seem to stretch into eternity as you’re walking down it . . . what if it grew longer and longer as you were walking, sounds like a nightmare or a Stephen King movie!!! . . . .

LOL!  Just trying to make you laugh and lighten the mood.  Don’t be scared, you will be great!!!

The only thing I’m really scared about when it comes to walking down the aisle is…. falling down. Daddy has been forwarned NOT let me fall on my face. Hold me up if I trip!

I’m incredibly anxious about certain logistical issues, like to the point where I’ve started waking up every night at around 2:00 a.m. and then I can’t turn off my brain and I lie there and worry. Frown I had the best intentions of being a cool, laid back bride.

@Sunfire:  Haha I’m with you.  I love the spotlight and my only fear is RAIN!

OP, I think it’s normal to have some fear – it’s a huge deal!  You’ll be fine, though. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m scared out of my mind, but a good scared. Like tripping and falling on my way down the isle, forgetting something or some drama breaking out.  My stomach feels like I’ve got a thousand butterflies in it.

Deep Breaths!
