A bit. I’m having more fun with it than I expected it to, though!

One of my little mantras that I sometimes turn to is that “the wedding is an ordeal you have to go through, an obstacle course you have to navigate, before you can get started on the marriage.” That’s the part I’m really looking forward to!

Hang in there. I do think that, ultimately, being relaxed about it and having a clear sense of what details are not your priorities does make things easier. I feel completely unrepentant about not including a bunch of stuff for that reason. Money-saver, too!

@louiseW:  you are a girl after my own heart. I do what i have to do for a beautiful day but i will not get into a tizzy about or have sleepless nights.

I’m ready for the wedding just to be here already! At this point I just want to be married. We have been engaged 1 year now (also a September bride!) so I think I find waiting until September quite long. That was the only time of year that was going to work for us to get married, but it still feels too far away!

I wish we could just have the wedding tomorrow. I had fun planning, but I’m done now, I’d like to not worry about it anymore.

Yes!!  Three weeks to the wedding and I am just so ready to be done with it! I mean, I’m excited to be married, and of course I’m really looking forward to the day itself. But I am kind of over all the planning aspects. I just want to get this show on the road!

OMG, so much.

My Future Father-In-Law came into town and we all had dinner last night.  We hadn’t yet discussed plans because he had been out of the country so long so when he asked about the planning process, he had this excited look on his face and I was the exact opposite.  I want to just get it over with.  It takes up too much space in my brain.

That said, I don’t know what’s going on but my relationship is totally on fire right now.  I think its the romance of knowing we’re getting married soon but I feel like we’re in the honeymoon phase all over again.  Purrrrr, meow.  πŸ˜‰ (TMI?)

I was going to write a pos similar to this one! My wedding isn’t for another year and I’m already burned out and ready for this whole planning thing to be done with. We’ve already got our curch and reception space so I’m going to tell everyone to leave me alone until September. No other big decisions need to be made just yet, and I’m not looking for a dress until then anyway.

I agree with OP, the Marriage is what is the nost important, not the wedding itself.
