Ha! This made me laugh because after last Monday’s day-long fight with my mother about the dress code on the invitation, I told her that I did not want to talk about the wedding for one whole week! I just didn’t want to talk or think about it at all for the same reasons! I was just so sick of it all! Every time people asked me how the planning was I groaned, rolled my eyes, and said I didn’t feel like talking about it!

So last night my mom and I finally made peace and caught up on the 20 items that had occurred regarding the wedding within the week. It was quite liberating to not have to talk/think about it for awhile! No one bothered me, and while some things needed to be done (writing checks to florist and hair/make-up) it was all on my own time without discussion! And because of the little break when we went back into the planning last night we both sounded more refreshed!

Do you have a super long engagement? I know I did and thought it would be brilliant! Until I realized that left that much more time to over-analyze and over-think!

So maybe you can declare a 1 week break and declare no wedding talk!?

you’re totally not alone.  sometimes it’s super fun and sometimes I honestly want to snap my fingers and make it all go away for a day or two.  I’ve found that the best strategy when I don’t feel like doing anything is to honestly not do a single bit of wedding stuff… you’re more productive if you’re enjoying what you’re doing!

I am so ready to be married. The last minute wedding stuff is starting to drive me crazy.

Maybe I’ll take a day off from wedding stuff, I cannot take a week off. We are too close to the wedding to be able to do that. 😀

Yep, I’m sick of wedding stuff! It’s not so much the planning for me, it’s the getting everything to come together that’s driving me crazy. I’m so ready for it to be over!!

I’m DEFINITELY ready for April 30th to just be here already! I’m so sick of dealing with all the details and I can’t get many things done until we get RSVPs back. I’m definitely frustrated. I’m very excited for the day but will be very excited when the planning and preparation is OVER!

@sw92657: i agree about the length of the engagement – ours will be 14 months when we get married which didn’t seem like a long time to me at first, but now I wish we would have had a shorter engagement. I am the type to over analyze so I’ve been driving myself crazy for the past year!

You are not alone!!!  I’m glad I’ve taken care of the stuff that matters to me, because now I’m getting to the point that anytime a planning questions comes up, I’m just like “I  don’t care, I just don’t want to make any more decisions!!!”  Also, I love crafting and DIY dearly, but i feel like I’m working a another job.

YES!!!! I really an sick of it!!! Being a budget bride I feel like I am always stressing over the wedding… Is this too much for flowers?… Is that cake going to be big enough… I don’t know what to do about bm dresses… It never ends! I just want a beautiful day for me and my fi, so we can be married and everyone can have fun… why does it have to be sooo complicated??

I’m definately tired of thinking about it and am so excited to just be married and get on with life.  I’m tired of making so many decisions.  We are having a really small wedding, but I’m still tired of thinking about it and talking about it and trying to figure out logistics.  It’s going to be a great day, but I look forward to the end when my new husband and I can say “Wasn’t today a wonderful day?”

I’m so over it! This is the stage where all the vendors are sending planning sheets to fill out and I need to think about whether to do the first dance before or after dinner, and so on. Also, when is this vendor going to be done, so that one can plan when to arrive.  It’s like herding cats.  And all want their money in the next weeks.  Eek!
