I’ve def had my moments of frustration, esp trying to plan a wedding several states away.  I know if I had to plan a traditional large wedding I would go crazy cause it is just not me at all.

When I start getting stressed over silly stuff like napkins I try to remember this….at the end of the day, even if it rains on my beach wedding or my hair isn’t perfect or the food sucks, I’m still married to my best friend and all the mishaps will make for funny stories later on in the years.  Good luck and go do something fun for yourself to destress when you feel it piling on your shoulders.

Will your Fiance take any part in this? When I hit my limit on wedding stuff, I pass off a task to Fiance.  The first one was the honeymoon- I suck at planning travel, so I just left it all up to him, and he did fine.

My next one is going to be programs- I think they’re utterly unnecessary, he seems to think people will be confused without them (or that they’ll somehow care what the names of the bridal party are).  So I’m giving him a $100 budget and free reign to create whatever his precious little heart desires.  This takes a modicum of not caring on your part- and honestly not caring, not just saying you don’t care and then harranguing him for doing it wrong later, but it’s a good way to get some stress off you.

Still loving the planning (I’ve pretty much moved to doing it all myself, or FI’s help from time to time!) but SO OVER THE GUEST LIST!!!  Geez louise! Trying to send out the Save the Date and just saw Fi’s parents’ list alone is 136. Ay yi yi…pretty sure they told ME it was 106 a few weeks ago…

Either way, like other PPs said, once the day is here it will all be worth it.  You still have many months to tie things together, plus it sounds like you have some major things out of the way if those are your only things left! Gooo you! 🙂  I’m sure you’ll have a beautiful wedding!  Just keep plugging away yourself the next few months; a few things here and there after work or on the weekends, and it will all be great in the end. xoxo

I think you should rely on your fi more like the pp said. It’s his wedding too so don’t be afraid to give him some responsibilities. Guys get into booking the DJ. Give him the job of getting the referrals and checking them out, then choosing the music. Most guys will do just fine but you do have to trust him to do it, no looking over his shoulder so to speak. Give the guy a chance to be there for you.
