That’s awesome!

We were not that extreme, but we were kinda spontaneous. We got engaged in a totally unplanned manner during a conversation about where we were seeing our relationship going.

Got my e-ring 3 days later, because we were going to my parents’ place for dinner and wanted a ring on my finger to share the news. On our way to dinner, went to the store, picked a ring and left the parking lot with it on my finger.

We then decided to have a Destination Wedding – our wedding date was randomly chosen according to the availability of the officiant in Punta Cana, a year after our engagement. Apart from the date and our outfits, nothing about our wedding was planned prior to getting to the resort.

When we got engaged, we decided I would move in with him a few weeks later… Well as we were planning the move and still going from his house to my apartment, one night in my apartment I was like: “hey, what if I took the cats with me tonight and never sleep here again? We’ll move the rest of my stuff gradually until the truck rental date”. And so we did and I officially moved in at 11pm that night after deciding so at 10:30.

Yay for spontaneous! I love it this way.

That’s amazing!!!

If by December 2012 I don’t feel more excited, Fiance and I are just going to elope. I do want to get married, but I have to put my condo, education, and other expenses first. Honestly I’m only thinking of having a wedding because I know it would depress my parents if they didn’t get to see it happen.

How fun!!  I love that!  We aren’t totally spontaneous, but we do have our little moments of it.  ๐Ÿ™‚  Like me deciding to move to the Netherlands and then making it happen in a months time!

Soo..

Are you showing us the rings and outfits before, or do we have to wait until after?

@GelaMac:  Wow, apparently I can’t read. And I knew you were married. WTF is wrong with me today, sooo oblivious.

You are so lucky!  I would give my right arm to do it like that!

Damn me for having a non-typical Fiance who wants the whole sodding traditional crap!

Congratulations! Laughing

@GelaMac:  YES! We are lol

That story is amazing…

For us:

Christmas evening …. My husband (then boyfriend) brought his mom to spend the holiday with my mom & I (we lived 4 hours from each other and had been dating about 1 year). We were in the bathroom talking and laughing and he says:

Him: “Why, do you want to go get married today?” and of course I say “What?! Yes!!”

So there we are… No rings.. No dress.. No tux… Nothing…

We put whatever we could find together.. Went to a chapel and were married at 9:00 p.m. The after party took place at the only casino open and we had dinner ( as you may have guessed…yes we got married in Vegas) ๐Ÿ™‚

We skipped the whole engagement part.
