I am completely freaking out.  I had my second wedding nightmare last night and it was awful!  Everything went wrong, like to the point where the day was absolutely ruined.  I woke up very anxious.  I feel like all the things we’ve been planning are now becoming a reality and I’m so afraid things just aren’t going to work out or be right or whatever.  Ahhh, at least I’m not alone.  🙂

Yes.  Yes I am.

We don’t have bridesmaids dreses ordered yet!  It SHOULD be happening this week, but OMG.

YES! I am freaking out but also getting way more excited. I’m literally having wedding-related dreams every night though, and they’re usually not good! My dress isn’t coming until the end of June, which I am really anxious about. And I’ve been checking my to-do list multiple times a day to make sure I’m not forgetting something that I have to do between now and September.

I freaked out for about 15 minutes last night. I took a few extra days off around the long holiday weekend with the plan to do NOTHING AT ALL because work has been draining lately, then I spent most of the time either working on wedding plans or reading weddingbee (which tends to plant some outrageous ideas in my head), and started having a lot of self-doubt.

Fortunately I have been keeping fairly good notes and I did a quick run-down and decided I’m actually happy with where we are in the plans and in the budget, and decided I’ve got nothing to worry about. There is still plenty of work to be done but in the grand scheme of things, all the “big” stuff is sorted out, and there’s no point in driving myself crazy over it.

@fishbone:  This is where I’m at too– when I look at my list I know that I’m in good shape, time and budget-wise, but I still have so much self-doubt! Weddingbee is definitely both a blessing and a curse. I LOVE the support and help on here, but seeing everyone’s amazing recaps makes me so worried mine will fall short in comparison of what I want and it makes me go crazy over all the little details.

@AutumnElegance:  Yep, it’s the little details I’m freaking out about.  The big stuff is covered, but I feel like there are a million little things that add up and start to give me a panic attack.

@AutumnElegance:  My weddingbee time has almost an opposite effect on me— it makes me sometimes feel like I’m under-planning because I made the concious decision to leave certain things out.  The two big ones are seating chart and favors but there’s lesser ones, too.

Favors… I honestly do not see favors as adding value to the event, and I’d much rather take the time and effort to spend at least a few minutes with as many guests as I can (hopefully all of them) to thank them in person, than to trust a little mesh baggie of M&M’s to do that for me. Every wedding I’ve been to, at least half of the favors are still on the tables when it’s time to go, and I myself have taken home many a favor, only to have it sit in a closet for 3 years.  Should be pretty easy to decide with our social circle, who feels pretty much the same, to drop them, right?  Well all it takes is one Weddingbee to change my mind. There can be 100 responses that favors aren’t a deal-breaker but I fixate on the one single person who says YOU MUST HAVE FAVORS OR YOU WILL FOREVER BE KNOWN AS A SHAMEFUL HOSTESS. Enough with the favors already!

@fishbone:

I agree that favours are pretty unnecessary, I’d rather spend the money on getting really nice invitations put together. Other brides have told me they’re not fussed about what the invites are like because ‘they just go in the bin’ which is entirely true but I have noticed that when i get an invite and the first look i get of it sets the tone on my view of the wedding (may sound harsh but it’s true!) if i get a crappy looking invite it makes me feel like they’re not bothered about the event etc

@sarahbabs:  I’m ordering mine too this week!! Good luck!!

Overall, I am freaking out.  Trying to get addresses for invites is my next goal.  My BIG problem is that we are building a house and I’m really stressing its not going to get done in time for the wedding since we both currently live at home with our paretns!!

I’m for sure starting to freak out. I keep having a reoccurring nightmare that I forget my veil and bouquet and no one knows I’m the bride. Or that I don’t make it to the ceremony (funny part is that I’m not even wearing a veil and our ceremony is in our backyard). I also keep second guessing my choices so far. Been having dress regret lately and now I’m second guessing the bridesmaid dresses. Does anyone think “apple” from david’s bridal is too bright for a september wedding. Or just tell me I’m going crazy and it will look okay…. Yikes.

Fiance hasn’t asked his guys to be in the wedding party yet.  It’s driving me crazy.

Also, I just had my first felt-so-real wedding dream nightmare last night so that’s not cool.

@MapleMoose:  i had a dream that it was the wedding and the dress i was wearing was not the one i have ordered, it was a really ugly dress that looked more like a cheap night dress
