Happy June everyone!  Let’s make some babies!!!!! 😀

Like some of the pps, I also won’t be testing until July, as we’re not (re-)starting TTC until my next FW that will be at the end of the month.  But I’m super excited to be almost there!  I hope to see/join some of you in the March or April 2018 Babies boards! FX for us all!

jejangles :  Congratulations bee! I hope the pregnancy goes smoothly for you 🙂

PorcelainBelle :  Yes, I’ve heard the same! I brought this up with my GP 3 or 4 months ago, but she didn’t seem to think it would be much of a problem (based on my cycle history and on the type of pill I have been using). Of course, I could always be the exception! At least you know what you’ll be doing to celebrate the end of semester lol!!

My POAS date will be either right at the end of June or early July. Now we are TTC, I’m realising how much it actually sucks to have fairly long cycles. My last one was 38 f**king days!!!

PorcelainBelle :  I think long cycles would frustrate me too, particularly if they aren’t the same length each time! My cycles have been consistently around the 28 day mark ever since I got my first period at 14, so my GP is fairly confident that it should continue like this (I was put on the pill at 16 because I was getting horrible cramps but stopped after a year because the cramps gradually came back until they were as bad as they were before I started the pill. 18 months later I went back on the pill but as a contraceptive this time around and have been on it since). Fingers crossed my cycles don’t decide to change on me now that there’s no pill making them be 28 days!

It sounds like my POAS date will be similar to yours 🙂

Hi Ladies! Mind if I join in?? We are just starting the TTC journey after waiting the required 6 months after visiting a zika area.

So a little background.  I am 32 & my husband is 39.  I came of BC pill mid march and went straight back to a 28 day cycle.  I obviously couldnt be sure when I was ovulating so I ordered some opks and they arrived last friday (cd 19).  I used one that day just to get an idea of how they work and was surprised to see it was positive! I did another one saturday morning and that was also positive. Sunday and monday were both negative.  I’m hoping my luteal phase is short as a result of coming off BC recently and that it will straighten itself out!

Anyway we BD’d saturday morning and willl opk every day after af next cycle to get a true picture of the situation!

One other issue is I am on antihistamines every day for a skin condition and I have heard that this can effect CM so not sure whether to start supplements for that or not!

Good luck everyone!

I want to join too!!!

I’m 32 and my DH is 38 (about to be 39) we got married in 2015 and I’m terrified since this would be our first kid.  I was on the pill for 14 years, so I’ve spent most of my adult life trying to NOT get pregnant, so all this TTC is new territory for me.  Looking for some support.

I’ve been using the Digital (smiley face ones) OPK and they’ve been nice enough to me! just no positive pregnancy test yet.

Hello!

I am also TTC – we actually started in May but with no luck. The 2WW was by far the worst part and it was so disapointing to see the negative test come up. I am hoping to have better luck this month with the help of Ovia app and ovulation tests. This would be my first baby so I am so nervous and excited!

futuremrsclausen :   rachel_joy :  Hello and welcome! You ladies should join the June or July POAS boards (depending on when you ovulate/plan to test)! There are so many supportive Bees on these boards, including many of the ladies who’ve been chatting in here 🙂

rachel_joy :  BFNs are the worst.. last month I didn’t even test, I just waited til AF showed up and I felt better doing that!

PorcelainBelle :  yeah – that seems like a better option than getting my hopes up. I tell myself I’m not getting my hopes up but every time i take a test I definitely am.

JessieFay13 :  sounds great, thanks!

We decided to TTC starting this month 🙂 Our original timeline was December… not really sure why so we ditched it and are starting now.

Being on the internet and looking at TTC related topics is so overwhelming!

I also realized that I haven’t had an OBGYN appointment in a long time so getting checked out later today. Eeeek – I always have a fear that doctors will find something random and terrible at checkups, and this time is no different. I feel a little disorganized with all of this, but excited!

We are TTC this month. We chose this timeline for a few reasons: 1) I am a teacher, so it would be ideal to have a baby in April-July to maximise maternity leave and 2) we finally realized that we really had no reason to keep waiting. I am 27 and DH is 29. We have a personal desire to be on the younger side when our kids leave the house…and we realized that in order to make that happen we better get started! We also would like to spend a lot of time traveling but want to retire early for those dreams…and in order to do that, kids need to be out of the house! 😉

We BD’d last night in what appears to be my fertile window! *happy dance* This would be our first. DH is 30 and I’m 29. We’ve been married since October.

ms_margarita :  I almost wish we had of gotten married sooner and had babies while I was still in the middle of my studies. I’m due to finish in Aug next year, but I want to be at home with them for at least their first year. We can’t really wait until I’ve been working in my new field a while as I’m 31 now and only have one fallopian tube so I feel like we’d be stupid to wait! My OB/GYN told me we better get on it if we want kids given my age (whatever lol) and because chances of pregnancy every 2nd month aren’t great 🙁
