ana2017 :  Yeah, it’s just not worth the risk. We’re lucky here in Australia, just steering clear of South East Asia and the like for the near future.

garnobella :  My Future Sister-In-Law and I both decided to get in shape so we hired a personal trainer for every Monday, and then run 3 times a week otherwise.  We downloaded the app c called Couch-to-5k and it slowly gets you running and ready for a 5k in 8 weeks (supposedly…we’ll see how that works!).  I also downloaded My Fitness Pal and I put every single thing I eat or drink into it and it tells me how many calories I have left for the day and tracks my weight loss for me.  It’s so motivating!

We signed up for our first 5k…it’s May 27 (so the weekend before the wedding) as a way to congratulate ourselves on coming so far and for me to say “Hey!  You did it!  You’re getting married next week and now you have a bangin baby makin body!”

P.S.  It really is slightly terrifying to think that we could all be pregnant in the new few months or struggling to get pregnant; after reading all the other threads it seems like SO many people have fertility issues and I hope that doesn’t apply to any of us.  You got this Bees!

hawkeyebride2be :  Wow good on you for working on your fitness. I also recently downloaded the couch to 5k app….. But have yet to even open it once. Lol.

pancakes11 :  Do it!  It isn’t near as bad as I thought it would be, BUT don’t be afraid to do a week over.  I am INCREDIBLY out of shape and this week has been more difficult so I think I am going to do it a second time instead of moving on to the next week’s plan.

We are planning to start TTC in June! I am a teacher and although I realize nothing is anywhere near guaranteed, I have an ideal window when I’d like to be due. If that doesn’t happen, then we’ll take what we can get!

I think we may start TTC in June for baby #2! I had my daughter in August of last year and I have sworn off being in my third trimester in the summer months ever again so ideally, if I could get pregnant June/July/August, I’d be really, really happy! I’d be happy whenever we conceive the second LO truthfully but if I could time it exactly right and land in one of those 3 months, I’d be happy.

I did say initially I wanted to wait until my daughter was 1, but she’s 6 months and I already have the itch. Seriously, the newborn stage is so difficult but they are so precious and it goes SO FAST. Crossing my fingers that financially and mentally both of us will be ready when June rolls around!

garnobella :  Little-ish. Mid elementary! 🙂 I can’t really imagine yet leaving my classroom in someone else’s hands, and would especially struggle with that if it were in the first few months of the school year. Fingers crossed things go well and I’ll be due in the spring!

We just decided last night to TTC #2 in June. Our DS is almost 18 months old and we just feel like the time is right. Originally we were going to TTC last month, but last year was very stressful for me career-wise and really halted my weight loss after baby efforts. I’m now much closer to my goal (doing Weight Watchers), we just completed a kitchen renovation, and have done some other things around the house that we wanted to get done before the financial commitment of another baby. I can’t wait to be pregnant again and to give our son a sibling!

I’m a bit apprehensive because I had a mmc before conceiving my son, and had a chemical last year (while we weren’t trying.) I’m hoping and praying we have no issues and will welcome a new addition early next year. Good luck to all of you!

ETA: Waiting until June is mostly so I can work on my weight for a few more months and get mentally prepared, as I’ve just recently come down from the stress of last year. We felt it best to pick a month and stick to it for mental preparation purposes!

We just settled on June last night. We had been saying we’d start trying after we close on a house, but I wanted something more concrete in case the house hunt drags on for a while. So I’ll go off birth control in June and see what happens. If we haven’t conceived by the end of summer, we’ll likely start TTC more seriously.

We havent’ really started preparing at all. I discussed it briefly with my OBGYN in January and he told me that given my age and (relatively) healthy lifestyle, I didn’t really need to change anything until I go off birth control. But I’ll probably start limiting my sugar, alcohol and coffee in May so that it’s not such a dramatic change when we do get pregnant.

Also wanted to mention to you ladies- start your prenatals now! It’s best to have folic acid built up in your system when you get pregnant.

We will be starting TTC in May/June as well! We have been married for 4 years this summer (together for 12+ by then) but have really just been enjoying our solo lives too much to even consider kiddos until recently! I just turned 30 & Darling Husband is 45, we finally paid off all our debt (except student loans which are drastically lower), we have a decent savings cushion, and we are taking our dream trip in April to London & Amsterdam. We figured it was the right time, finally, to start…. I just need to actually call my obgyn & make an appt to have my IUD removed…

We’ve been working on cleaning up our eating habits (whole foods only- not that processed/boxed/canned crap), working out (we got walking/running w our dog 2-3 times a week), taking vitamins (i’ve been taking a prenatal multi for almost a year now, just bc)…. Generally getting ourselves into a more healthy routine so we can hopefully carry some of that over to our post-solo lives with baby! Here’s wishing all you other ladies a quick & easy (although hopefully not too quick LOL) ttc!

Close…but we will be TTC starting July. I am standing up in a wedding in August and don’t want to be visibly pregnant. We’re considering waiting one more month so I can enjoy some adult beverages but not sure. We honeymoon in May so we will be waiting my doctors recommended 8 weeks after travel to TTC after going to a Zika area. If either of us get a mosquito bite though, that changes plans and we wait 6 months. Needless to say I’ll be bringing multiple bottles of bug repellent. LOL
