I quit my job last month and I am home full time until I start school again next month. I thought it would be super exciting to be here because I absolutely hated my job, but now I’m kind of “meh”. I’ve been doing a lot of reading and window shopping which is nice, and I’ve started a new diet that I’m excited about!
But now I feel like I’m not busy enough because when my Boyfriend or Best Friend comes home, I’m counting down the hours! I’ve never been like that before and I’m not sure I like it.
So, anyone else in the same boat? What helps? Did anyone start a new hobby or do you have tips?

I’m at home (working from home but work is slow and that’s okay with me). I love it! Fiance is actually a bit upset that I’m going to start looking for a FT job after the wedding! I find I have a lot around the house to keep me busy. I work out in the morning, have a shower, catch up on emails, do whatever bit of work needs to be done, work on wedding related stuff, grocery shop or hit a farmers market (love to do this, I totally take my time at the markets!), and then usually in the late afternoon I take my time making something slow roasted or whatever for dinner since I have the time.
I’m not the best housekeeper, but I try to force myself to tidy up a little bit every day or organize my pile of wedding in the dining room. I’ve also been taking some cake decorating courses with my sister, so I do my “homework”. Sometimes I go visit with my sister and nephews, or I go out to see my parents and go over to my grandparents retirement home as well. I’m thankful I have the time to visit with everyone during the day (my grandmother has Alzheimers and is on the opposite side of the city, so it’s time consuming to get there, but it’s nice to be able to go at the drop of a hat if she’s having a “good” day). I’m also helping my dad out with his business a bit, so that’s going to start taking up my time.
I have to say, I’m not bored in the slightest, I’m usually run off my feet! I don’t know how I used to balance all this with a fulltime job!!!!

Actually from reading your post maybe I’m missing structure. If I could stick to a schedule instead of treating every day like a Saturday maybe I wouldn’t be in this boat!
Farmer’s market is a fabulous idea. We actually have one a few blocks away every third week. Hmmmmmm!

Today I’m totally lacking structure. Fiance is JUST leaving the house so I’m going to do my work out as soon as that door closes (hence all my WB posts this morning). I love it when he’s home in the morning, but it totally throws off my day, LOL! There’s always stuff to do around the house, so maybe creating a weekly chore schedule of sorts might work well for you. Totally wouldn’t work for me. I’m hopeless, LOL! I do have a bit of a daily routine, but nothing is set in stone. I like having a couple hours a day set aside for wedding related things like designing menus or DIY projects. Plus I really enjoy the time with one of my cats who has cancer. I make sure to spend about a half hour of cuddle time with him every day, which is a totally absurd but amazing luxury to have 🙂
