Hate the fact you don’t see the OP at the top of the post.

Hate that when you have the full list of topics it doesn’t actually tell you which board they are posted on!

Hate the filter to search for topics (the drop down)

Hate the white background.

Hate how slow it is.

Are the notifications on here even working anymore!?

Can’t believe it is run by a technical company! I work in online advertising, and this site is shocking to me.

Yesterday was the first day I’ve spent any real significant amount of time on the boards since the update, because it all just felt like much harder work, and was way less intuitive to use, and just not as visually appealing for me. I liked the organised ‘boxed’ look of the last layout, whereas the lack of divisions, bigger font, and huge adverts all blaring at me, as well as the just general aesthetic changes, feel very visually overwhelming and make it feel like a chore trying to find/read anything – and the huge number of pages with barely anything on in threads is just exhausting.

Yesterday I had literally run out of everything else to do so I was on for most of the afternoon and evening (late day at work), and usually about 2:00pm my-time things start to pick up and the front page of posts is generally only posts that have had responses in the last 5 minutes, things start moving really quickly. I was on until about 7:00pm last night and I think one of the posts was posted new at about 4:00pm and by 6:00pm had made it about 2/3 way down the front page with no responses, whereas prior to the update it would have either been replied to or moved back a few pages by that point.

What this says to me is that the update is having a noticeable effect already on the use of the forums, and quite a significant one from my perspective. Activity seems to have dropped hugely, which isn’t what you want in a site like this, but just characterises public feeling about this new design.

Also whenever there was a vague post I’d look at the category it was posted to try & see what it was about before clicking but it doesn’t show them anymore.

& something that may only happen to phones, but the polls cut off. I can see the about 75% of the left side of the poll but can’t see the right side.

Ugh also getting thoroughly hacked off that the thread pages never seem to finish loading on firefox, so I can’t refresh a page to see if there have been any updates.

I know I’m new here, but it was the old version when I first came here. Hate this! Like many others, the white. The dropdown menus are a nightmare on my tablet (I don’t have a desktop). I don’t understand why they haven’t rolled it back so they can work out where they’ve gone wrong?

Yeah, I have been trying to get used to it but I find myself using it less and less. I posted a wedding recap and half of my pictures aren’t showing up, the beginning of my text got cut off and some random code inserted, and the comments are completely out of order. Not to mention, I just plain liked the old format better. I’ll probably end up leaving here soon enough because I hate the changes so much!

chronicwhimsy:  I totally agree! I’ve definitely noticed less activity on the boards and I admit that I post way less, because it just feels like so much more work. I click on my WB bookmark out of habit and then once I get here it’s like ugh, that’s not really want I want. It just doesn’t satisfy me if that makes any sense at all. I just feel so frustrated, like I’m waiting for something to get better or easier or more enjoyable.

+1 It’s exhausting and overwhelming. It doesn’t feel fun or like a community- it just feels like I’m commenting on a blog or something, not having a conversation with other people.

I hate how I’m not getting notification when people reply or link me in a comment.

I have it checked under settings and everything, so I’m pretty sure people think that i’m ignoring them, but that’s really not the case.

I hate that the drop down search thingy blocks so many posts. I also hate that I cant see all the posts I have written or commented on…like WTF!! It’s like the owners of this site are just ignoring everyones complaints sooo annoying! I also notice that there is less activity on the borad or that I just dont recognize anyone anymore because I cant see their location or wedding date or they aren’t in a darker green box..UGHHHH!!!!

Ugh, I hate it too. I’ve spent so much less time on here recently and I miss it, but whenever I come back I get irritated immediately and go do something else.

Also, it’s a bit worrying that they have posted updates to the ideas thread where they’re working on certain things, and the white background that everyone hates hasn’t been addressed yet. I hate having to turn down the freakin’ brightness on my screen just to come on here anymore.

YES. I can’t understand why, with all of our complaints, it just doesn’t go back to the original version?! C’mon now.

What kills me is how obvious it is that everyone hates the new format so bad….and yet the users’ opinions and wants r so completely ignored. Most of us want to go back to the old site because it was charming, felt private, user friendly, all the wonderful words could be inserted.

But yet, here we r stuck in this hell with ads thrust in our faces, which by the way, is exactly what they want to hear. It means it’s WORKING that we r seeing the advertising, exactly like they want.

I know I have stopped reading the blogs (sorry blogger bees), but cause the main page does not allow for easy accessibility to read a new post, and then move on to the next, from page to page.  I feel like I am missing too much wedding updates from the bloggers, whom worked hard to get their spot, and therefore have given up entirely!

Also, I see an influx of posts from months, if not, years ago that are being commented on now, which happened before, but seems to be a bigger issue now.  Now I am wondering if it was indeed a post from two years ago, like it says, or ‘new’ – as other bees are now saying posts written timestamp is inaccurate??

IDK, I was on board with giving them time to figure it out, but I too find myself on here a lot less 🙁
