Finished the last class of the “flowers and cake design” course tonight!
I made this cake!
I highly recommend taking the Wilton courses if you want to make your own cake for your wedding, or for a shower. I’ve learned so much in the courses already! FYI – it can get expensive to buy all the supplies and pay for the courses though. Probably about $50 for each course and the course’s supplies, at least!
Anyone else take these courses or finish a course this week? Post your pics!

I haven’t taken a course, but your cake makes me want to check it out. Great job!!!

Great job! I’ve done Wilton Level 1 & 2, and I just finished gum paste & fondant, which I think may be their level 3 now. My teacher for level 1&2 hated me because a lot of the Wilton stuff is REALLY old fashioned and I used to modernize it, LOL! They’ve just re-vamped the courses though, so I was in the “official” first new Level 3 class in North America. It’s WAY better and I’m really happy I finally learned gum paste and fondant!
This is the cake I made for my Level 3 “graduation”. It wasn’t one in the book, I improvised. Are you seeing a trend here?! Sorry for the crappy cellphone pic.
Some other cakes/cupcakes I’ve made:
