I don’t think I will ever get used to my ering or my wedding band. I take them home as soon as I get home. I put them on as soon as I leave the house. It goes straight in and straight out of my jewelry box. With all the cleaning, housework, and how many times I wash my hands or have my hands in water (I have a 5 year old too!) I feel like they will get ruined. Anyone else?

I don’t have my ring yet, but I don’t see myself taking it off very often, if ever. I’d be afraid to lose it.

My ring comes off usually when I change into pajamas!

Yep, when I change for the night, it comes off.
Also when I shower, clean, cook, and sleep.

Nope, I bake, clean, cook, craft, sleep, etc with my rings on; however, I have pretty dainty rings.

@jessyrez: Mine never come off unless they’re being cleaned.

I don’t take my ring off but I will admit all my other jewelry goes as soon as I walk in the house. I take off earring, necklaces, and my watch right away. My e-ring is very comfortable to wear though and I often don’t notice I have it on. This was a requirement for me though and I made sure to find a ring that I would be comfortable wearing all the time. I think if I had gone with a different style of ring or something a bit larger I would be taking it off a lot more too.

I never take my wedding set off. It just feels like a part of my finger at this point. I’ve been wearing a ring on that finger since high school.

Yes! I’ve gotten a little more used to it in the 8 months we’ve been engaged, but sometimes I can’t wait to take it off! I also notice that I fiddle around with taking it on and off my finger when I’m anxious or deep in thought.

I take off my e-ring when I get home, but I always leave on my wedding band
Post # 13
Yup, I take my e-ring off, as well as my watch, necklace, and earrings the second I get home. I put it back on only when I’m about to leave again. I just don’t find jewelry to be all that comfortable.
I also change into “house clothes” the second I get home too – I like to be comfortable.

I may do something like that after I’m married. The wedding band I bought is pretty comfortable.

@jessyrez: I take mine off when I get home and put it in it’s ring box. It’s a halo pave setting and I’ve already had a diamond replaced, so I try to be careful.

I take off my engagement ring when I get home and change, but I leave my wedding band on. I have a tendency to sit on my hands when I get cold without even realizing it, and not only does it hurt to poke yourself in the ass with a solitaire, it’s not good for the setting – same reason I don’t sleep in it.
