I rarely take my rings off.  I don’t wants to lose them.  I also have insurance on them.

Nope. I adore having mine on and they’re pretty much an extension of my hand at this point.

They stay on for cooking, cleaning, sleeping, showering… pretty much never come off.

The only time I might slip them off for a few minutes is if I’m handling raw meat or putting on a lotion or face cream/something slimy.

I too, take my engagement ring off when I am at home.  I think I have always had the habit of storing all jewelery worn during the day once home.  Just like how I change into my pajamas immediately as well.  Old habits die hard.

Rarely are they off my finger.  Only if I’m doing heavy duty cleaning or cleaning the ring itself.

I NEVER take mine off, unless it is getting inspected/cleaned (twice a year).

I don’t wear jewelry in the house at all, so as soon as I get home both rings come off along with any other jewelry I am wearing at the time.

When I got engaged,
I wouldn’t take my ring off. I slept with it; threads from my blanket/sheets would get caught on it.

Then I joined Weddingbee,
I read somewhere that too much frequent cleaning might mean that I might have to get the ring rhodium plated again before the wedding.

So, I take my ring off and put it in its box.

I only wear it in the office or around non-family members. I reluctantly wear it when I run or am at the gym.

I am so shocked so many bees take theirs off this often. I cant wear mine at work but the instant I head home I take it off the necklace and put it on. I wear it cooking, cleaning, showering, working out. I had no idea these were so delicate? I would lose mine if I left it around the house

I dont wear rings in the house. I’ve just never quite gotten completely used to the feeling of something on my finger. I think when I get my band I’ll keep it on all the time though.

Mine stays on for almost everything including the gym. Sometimes I take it off to wash dishes or when I am making and have to use my hands to mix, but that is about it.

For work I use a stand in ring and that stays on for my 6 day shift.

My ring is always on. The only time I take off my ring is when I am baking (getting crusted on dough off would be awful, I think!)/cooking with my hands or trying on wedding bands.

ETA: I am prone to losing things, so me taking it off is a bad idea. I would be terrified of misplacing it somewhere.

@jessyrez:  I do!! I’ve had my e-ring for a year and a half, and I want it to stay as new as possible. When I get home, I immediately put on lounge clothes and it just doesn’t feel right to have on this expensive, precious ring when I’m cooking/cleaning etc. I love my ring so much more than I love wearing it, just to wear it at home..if that makes sense. My wedding band will be 3/4 eternity and I can’t imagine wearing that around the house either, but I do plan on buying a plain rose gold band to wear on our honeymoon, and I would absolutely just keep that on. I clean my rings like a maniac every few days, and I try to keep it as clean as possible. If it’s not on my finger, it’s in the box it came in. 🙂

I take mine off once I get home because I don’t want to scratch my daughter who’s under a year.  Once she gets older though I will probably wear them until I go to bed.
