I have been thinking about this too, I usually wear dark polish and when I don’t my nails look french naturally so I could get away with a clear polish but then thats not very me so I have no idea, also I will be working as a nurse by then so I will have to cut them off at some point and I have never worn false ones before

I’m very fair-skinned, and the last time I wore a light pink I was told it looked from a distance like my toenails were missing. Ew.

So, I’ll be going for a deeper pink, I think. It can be deep without being too bright or bold.

I’m very partial to deep plum colors. Almost black.

I’m either doing black or dark red. I’m not a fan of pink, ever. I’m also not a fan of pastels, so a dark color is what’s normal for me.

I will probably be going with a gold sparkly color.

I was just thinking about this the other night.  I rarely get my nails (what little I have haha) done, so I will probably get fake ones put on for my wedding just because I wanna be pampered haha

But, I was wondering how do they do the fake colored nails?  Do they just paint them after they’re finished or do they put the color on then the hard coating stuff?

I’ve only ever done french and I do love it but I want alittle different for the wedding, I am thinking maybe doing french but with a sparkle strip or maybe a solid gliter color or even a dark purple.

Anyone have pictures of how they did theirs?

Not married yet, so no photos. However, I’m strongly considering doing a darker color. I tend to wear darker nail colors the majority of the time and my partner really loves it. I tried two lighter colors recently, and one of them didn’t even last a day. (FWIW, it was an off white. It just felt like I painted white out on my nails. couldn’t deal). I won’t do too dark b/c I know my mom hates it and I don’t want to deal w/ any drama from her over something silly like nail color. I ordered a bunch of colors from Zoya that should be here any day, so I guess I’ll keep playing around to find something I’m happy with! I was thinking of doing a bright or deep green on my toes (green is our main color) and then a softer sage green on my fingers. I just worry b/c there’s not a whole lot of shade range in the long last polishes, and I wanted to go that route.

I loved my dark polish, but it came off on my dress. Fortunately the cleaners were able to get it off my dress and my photog was aware of the situation, so she was able to retouch any photos where it showed.

I’m going to get a red shellac manicure. It’s my favorite nail color and I think it will look great against the white dress/flowers. I keep my nails short, no fake ones for me.

Light colors are ok and I do wear them sometimes but I want a more dramatic look. I’m not a fan of french with the white tips I just find it weird looking, just my opinion.

Shellac is awesome. I’m taking a break from it right now but for a wedding/honeymoon it is a no brainer – no worries about it chipping.

I’m going blood red on fingers, toes and lips. There was never going to be any other choice for me!

i was JUST thinking of this last night! my real nails grow LONG but Fiance hates them so i keep them trimmed and  i usually wear either black or french manicure with  very few in betweens~ my Fiance hates my black but i love love love it! i just removed the black last night and redid a french as we are going to a party this weekend ( where the ring will be looked at ALOT)…but when i tried on my wedding band with the french..  i dont love it!

i think i will have to add some color.. either a black or a dark red line or swirl as our colors are claret & black

I’d like Shellac, but if I go with OPI the strongest contender is Lincoln Park after Dark.  I think dark, short nails will look fabulous, especially if the flowers are a deeper colour (or very light).
