That is exactly how I feel! I really don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on other people. It sounds selfish but its not selfish bc a wedding is supposed to be about the Bride and the Groom. Maybe think about doing a “Weddingmoon” type deal! Sounds perfect since you’d liek a vacation. And you dont have to worry about scrificing this to afford the honeymoon or vice versa.

i have a semi similar issue. i want the big wedding, but me and my guy suck at saving. every bit of money we get goes right back out the door. luckily most of the wedding stuff we do already have minus the big stuff like cake, photographer and the rest of the balance for the venue.

@raziel1687:  have you considered a Destination Wedding?? It allows you to enjoy time with your loved ones (but on a smaller scale as realistically, less people will attend a DW) as well as it doubles as a vacation. It might give you more motivation to save for a wedding if you know you get to be on a tropical island for a while
