I am unusually Calm since the new year. I’m not sure why? I feel like I’m on top of everything, but shouldn’t I be stressed? It’s a weird sensation, but things are coming together and I have zero stress. Anyone else feel unusually calm?

I haven’t been stressed at all wedding planning… All I have been doing recently is scanning invite websites (when they have sales!) looking at invites… nothing has caught my eye yet. A lot of our stuff can’t be done until closer to the date (choosing the food/Alcohol we want, booking travel, meeting with the coordinator). Maybe that’s the perk to having a Destination Wedding, a lot of stuff is included so I don’t need to deal with a bagillion people.

Haha no, I do go back and forth between calm and not,m. After we choose our venue I was really calm until about a week ago and since then I’ve been batshit crazy. Maybe I’m suppose to be on my period or something because I think my Fiance will call off the weddin if I’m this stressed up until our wedding lol

I’m not stressing… but definitely have been very anxious. Probably because we’re in the lull where we’ve gotten all the big stuff booked, but it’s too early to start on the little things. So I feel anxious because I feel like I should be doing more right now. But I got our Save-the-Dates in the mail today, so I’m happy about that!

I had 0% stress. Just talked to a good friend of mine who is getting married in 3 months – no s tress. in fact both of us were laughing about how when it comes to crunch time you care less and less about the details and are more go wit hthe flow

@alysee: the new year I freaked, February I have been very calm…. It’s creepy. Once 6 month mark comes, I’m sure the hair will start falling out:)

No stress here either! Love the Destination Wedding planning. So many less things I need to worry about which is exactly what I wanted. Only thing I am stressing about is my dress which I think I may have to go over budget for but am trying to find a way to stay in range. Unfortunately since it’s an older dress I am having trouble finding it preowned which would have been my first choice.

i can’t really do anything else. i ordered our save the dates last night, and they should be here by the 12th of march, and they’ll get sent out by the end of the month. i gathered addresses and updated the guest list spreadsheet. all of our deposits are made. i’m sorta stuck until we meet with the caterers, which will probably be sometime in april.
my dress is hanging in the closet. i suppose i should find someone to put in a corset back… i’m just kinda.. blah.

alysee: I am feeling the same way….since November actually. I was so stressed for a couple months after we got engaged (July) and Fiance kept asking what he could do to help relieve some of that. The only things I could say was for us to book the venue because I know how fast things fill up, and for me to get my dress because I know how picky I can be. We booked our venue the end of August and I got my dress November 3rd. Since then, I’ve been what I would say is “unusually calm” as well. I have things to do, but I have time. I have to put together some of the things, and get a DJ….and then the big stuff is all done other than figuring out the ceremony but we are meeting with the officiant in April and already have our non-traditional vows picked out.

I go back and forth honestly… For the most part… Got this down… calm and collected, then the other part is like I want it all booked, planned and ready to go, with only final payments and time between me and the wedding. I think once I have things booked (Which will be soon), I will be better lol. And once I get my guest list… got decor and favors to work on lol

It comes and goes.. I feel like we are in a pretty good place right now, although we still need to find an officiant and dj.. but we can only do as much as our wallets let us. We sent out save the dates a few days ago though, so I’m really excited about that!

I have been very calm with everything but wedding money I am freaking out with how much we have left to save (over 5K) still and with only 6 months left I am freaking out.

I am waiting for my freak out still… A-type personality and a big (many people) wedding, I figured I’d be stressed out constantly. I guess having my Fiance be super supportive has helped… Although he is very much involved, we have had some tension when he forgets the BIG stuff (like the fact that we had a rehearsal lol). An online calendar that we both share has helped that- he definitely deserves a little help remembering given how much he is doing.

A bit of both. I’ve got all the major stuff done. I just bought my accessories today, and pretty much narrowed down my shoe choice. Next big thing is set up a wedding website and do invites. I’m relying on bridesmaids and coordinator to basically style the venue since I’m planning from overseas. I want to get as much stuff done from now until Sept so I don’t have to cram it all in last minute when we get to Boston 1 1/2 weeks before the wedding.

I’m not stress at all.. maybe because my Maid/Matron of Honor help me to do most of the stuff haha, she is on top of everything for me.
All the big items are booked, so what’s left is buying invitation cards soon and send them out no later than next month. Just continues losing weight
Fiance and I are fairly calm as if it’s just another day, we look forward for it as a fun event with friends and family but…. not stressing at all
