I am not currently waiting, but I remember the struggle well! My e-ring wasn’t custom (though it’s a pretty unique design) but my wedding band was! And the wait was brutal! I 100% relate. But it will be worth it when you have it!

Very beautiful ring, by the way!

I feel you…my partner started our custom ring process eight months ago and it’s been issue after issue. We finally scrapped it and went somewhere else, and now it’s six weeks before the ring is finished. I’m a pretty patient person but really starting to lose it!

How about deciding you’re gonna have a ring made, waiting 6 months to purchase it, being the one to order it, waiting 4 weeks for it to be made, then waiting 2.5 more months for a proposal, finally wearing it, and then having to send it back because your main stone is loose for the second time and the master jeweller saying they have tried to fix it for days on end but every time one thing gets fixed they notice three more things to fix and so they are going to scrap my original ring and make me a brand new one… i’m waiting all over again! Haha

The good news is i’m getting a hand selected new center stone for it to be their most perfect cut they have, and they will make sure all of the finest details are done as perfectly as they can be since i’m such a perfectionist.

Waiting for a ring is hard. 9 days feels like 20. Lol hang in there. Your choice of ring is beautiful!

We started talking about rings specifically in November, I sent him my top favorites (and ranked them) in December, and we went to a few different stores and got me sized in January.

We’re moving hopefully within a couple weeks (there has been some issues with the existing tenant, we should have been moving in tomorrow) so that’s kind of taking some money away from things. He said yesterday that nothing can happen until after we move.

In April though we are going on a weekend getaway for our fifth anniversary, and I really, really, think it’s going to happen then. We don’t really go on many trips so this seems like the most likely time. I’ve pretty much been mentally counting down the days since at least October or so!

Anyway, my top ring choice is MoCo’s Eng061 with an 8mm stone in palladium, size 4.75 – I’m absolutely in love with it! But… I do definitely have some others that I really love, so if I don’t get that one I won’t be too disappointed 🙂

FutureMrsA2020 :

I hated waiting! but we had my ring custom made from my fiance’s mom’s old ring (all the same diamonds and gold!) and it turned out SO well, totally worth the wait (see the after and before shots below)

Girl I feel your pain. Mine took five weeks to make but when we first called the jeweler they were about to go on holiday for over a month, then you throw in the time to ship them the stone and shipping for the ring itself, and all told I think I waited about TWELVE WEEKS between getting the stone and getting the ring, nevermind the time between picking the ring, finding the stone, and receiving the loose stone in the mail (we sourced the center stone separately)… and I just got it last Sunday but the wait was SO worth it for my dream ring. Seriously just try to distract yourself from thinking about it too much, time flies while you’re having fun, but waiting takes forever.

Here’s the ring I finally get to wear to hopefully help tide you over:

youmaysayimadreamer :  oh my gosh wow I hope you get your perfect ring soon! That’s a lot to go through, but I’m sure it will be worth it when you receive the final product.

I had to wait over a month for the ring to be made, and now I’m just waiting on the proposal… 🙂
