- Wedding: December 1969
I have a lot of acquaintances, I’ve never really had a close friend my whole life which is really sad. I just have my older sisters whom I’m close to but we aren’t buddies, it’s a definite big-little sis relationship, and my cousin who is my best friend pretty much. These women are the ones who have helped me through heartbreak, ones I can count on, the ones I fight with lol. So they’re in my bridal party, and I asked my two Future Sister-In-Law to be inclusive.
Unlike my fiancé, he has three close friends he calls brothers that he’s known since diapers and a coworker he goes fishing with that’s basically a friend. He has no brothers so maybe that’s why he has so many male friends.
A big part of it is me, I don’t like to go out often, I like my own company, and I’m introverted. I am not anti social or anything. I think because I’ve always hanged out with my sister or cousin. Through my fiancé, I’ve been connected through his friends to their wives and girlfriends, but I’ve never felt a connection to become very close type of friendship. I’ve met a couple people who could’ve been that friend but moved far away…drifted apart.
Just wondering if anyone else out there similar to me?
