I would just go with whatever makes you happiest! Adding more funk to your wedding is becoming trendy… but why go with the trend if it isn’t what you want?

mine was the same way! very traditional sit down, three course meal – i even had matching bridesmaids dresses and a catholic mass – pretty traditional. i think the one different thing we did was the photobooth and everyone loved it.

i think any wedding with a bar, good music, and good group of people will be a hit. plus your ittle personal  touches for decor ya know?

dont worry too much – you will have so much fun

Weddings are never dull {IMO} theres so much emotion in the air and everything is exciting. Maybe its just cos I love weddings but I dont think they are ever dull

I’ve taken out so much of the “traditional” wedding that I am definitely worrying about it being boring!

There isn’t going to be a dinner or a dance. Just a LOT of hot passed appetizers and stationed appetizers. There isn’t going to be a lot of booze, just chatting, mingling & eating! I’m actually pretty freaked out about it.

I’m having a traditional wedding too and sometimes I worry about that. But at the end of the day we are fun people, we have a fun family and we booked an awesome DJ. I don’t need any trendy, blog-worthy wedding to have a good time!! (Although that’s not going to stop me from drooling over them! :D)

I think it’s nice you have just a few touches of funk. In a few years, some of the things we love now will just be trendy, while a traditional wedding is always classy.

you said it will be very much like all the other weddings you have attended – then answer this: did you have fun at those weddings?  because when i read that, my first thought was “i usually have fun at those ‘traditional’ weddings”  i mean, good food, music and dancing- its the basics elements of a good party and i like to party!  ok wait, you didn’t mention dancing, but i assumed there will be because all the “traditional” weddings I have been have had dancing after the 3 course sit down meal.

I see nothing wrong with a traditional wedding. The only thing that really matters that you are marrying the man you love very much that is all that really counts correct?

Just remember to limit your guest list to people who care about you and your happiness, and people won’t find it boring.
