Fiance and I worked on our vows today, and it was so much fun! We think we’re going to say our vows together, sort of — like, instead of me saying all my vows and then him saying all of his, I will say a line and then he will say a line, then I’ll say another, etc. Has anyone done this? Do you think it will be okay?
Has anyone else written their own vows? Did you write serious ones, or did you stick a few funny/cute ones in? Anybody want to share?

@likelimeade: We didn’t write our actual vows. However, immediately before my pastor led us through our traditional vows, Darling Husband and I both spoke to each other directly. Darling Husband, who is a pastor himself, chose not to write down what he was going to say ahead of time. I’m a writer and a communicator, but, after nearly a year of wedding planning, working full time, and having an LDR, I no longer trusted that I would be able to remember anything that I wanted to say. I wrote two pages of things that I wanted to say to my FH, and I read them to him. I’m so glad we did this!! I think that our guests found what we said to each other to be very moving.
