At almost 8 months, Addie eats a ton. She has solids three times a day, and she eats the equivalent of 1/2 to 1 whole jar of homemade baby food at every sitting (so 2 – 3 jars a day). Plus, she has water or juice at each meal, probably about 3-5 ounces a day, and she eats 25-30 ounces of formula every day.
Does that seem like a lot to anyone else? How much does your baby eat?

YES! She eats 3 solid food meals a day, 2-3 breastfeedings, and around 10-12 oz of beverages. And then all the snacking she does allllll day long.
I can’t imagine our grocery bill after we have 4 more kids! I’m gonna need to hire someone just to push a 2nd cart at the grocery store with me lol.

Lol, no kidding! I worry I’m not going to be able to keep up with this homemade baby food thing, at the rate she’s going. :/

She’s growing! 😀
My son always seemed to be a bottomless pit when he hit growth spurts, you can expect her appetite to taper a little once her spurt slows, but she’ll still be eating more than what used to be the norm 🙂
Have her night feedings lessened at all? Because her body could also be making up ‘lost’ calories & nutrients that weren’t taken in overnight. Just a thought!

Cecilia probably drinks over 30 oz of booby milk during the day (well mostly at night). She is quite the chunky monkey at this point and though I know you can’t overfeed a breastfed baby, I feel like she’s overfed!

My youngest nephew has always been a great eater. He is going to be 2 in April and he eats more than his 8 year old sister and 5 year old brother combined (they eat like birds though). I had breakfast over there around christmas and he ate a banana and THREE medium sized pancakes for breakfast and was still asking for more!
He is in the 90th percentile for height though, and only in the 70th percentile for weight (which makes sense since he is so tall!). We hope his appetite will slow down once he stops growing so much, otherwise my sister will be in the poor house!

At 6 months K gets 25-30 ounces of breast milk and a few tablespoons of solids twice a day. It doesn’t seem like that much to me. Mainly because I was used to him eating 8-10 times a day.

She might have just finished up a growth spurt. 🙂 She decreased a little this weekend, but not much. I think I just have a very hungry little girl on my hands!
