I don’t have too much experience with it but my husband also has the diagnosis of vericole veins down there. I am currently 24.5 weeks pregnant with our first little girl who was a complete surprise so I guess they don’t cause infertility in all cases. We were actually looking at the different kinds of surgery when we found out I was pregnant so we didn’t get too far into the process.

Fiance doesn’t have this but I briefly dated someone who did. Actually, he found out a few days after we met. It was painful for him and it was suggested he have surgery. He was told it could cause infertility but he didn’t mind because he wasn’t ready for kids…only wanted pain to stop.

i think it’s like anything else… It “could” cause it, but we all know if something is meant to happen, it finds a way. I hope he is ok. ๐Ÿ™‚

My husband has that right now.  It has actually pushed us into ttc in a few months instead of next year.  He has to go in for a sperm count and then surgery.  The Dr. told my husband that it can cause infertility and it will eventually cause testosterone to not be produced anymore. Eek!  If his sperm count is low and he goes and gets the problem fixed it can raise the sperm count significantly.  Sorry I don’t have much of a success story since we are currently dealing with it but I hope the best for you and your husband!!

@MademoiselleL:  That’s great news!!  DH should be going tomorrow.  I am anxious to know if surgery is going to be a definate or not.

@MademoiselleL:  That’s great news!  We were concerned about Darling Husband as well because he had some other issues with swelling down there in the past and has thyroid issues, but his side came back fine.  It was a relief, but also kind of a sad thing to have “proof” that I was likely the one causing us all our problems.  But I really had to get over it and just be positive that one problem is easier to fix than two!  So, I’m glad you’re a one problem-er (at most!) as well ๐Ÿ™‚
