Mine will be gone this week Tues-Thursday for work then this weekend (non-work related but I’m not able to go with because I have to work) & next week he will be gone Monday-Sunday for trainings. He isn’t too far away during all of this (8 hrs), but it will be the longest time we’ve gone apart.
What do you do when he’s away? Wish we had kids to keep me busy! lol

I usually take the dog and go stay at my parents house if it’s more than a 3 or 4 nights. I really hate staying in my house by myself (damn dog barks and is on such high alert all the time it freaks me out, plus we’ve been broken into so that is still a huge mind f**k on my sense of security). Plus then I get to spend time with my family and not worry about cooking! The longest he’s been away was a month in Taiwan last year. And he’s got a lot of trips to the middle east and Europe this year but we still always touch base once or twice a day.

Yes, I’m not a fan of being home alone but thank goodness for our dog. Keeps me entertained. I work from home so I feel like I’m stuck at home the entire time and bored!

My SO travels every week for work. Either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Thursday. It was hard at first, especially when we first started living together, but usually I take that time to hang out with friends that I don’t normally get to spend 1 on 1 time with. It helps to keep yourself busy – so plan activities for yourself everyday of the week – even it it’s just getting a mani/pedi!
He also went on a longer 2 week vacation with his college roommates. I was dreading that but ended up staying over at a friends place and had a great time!

My Fiance works in another city all week, then on some weekends he gets sent out of the country. I do miss him but I’m so used to it now. It actually feels stranger when its a holiday and he’s at home more than 3 days at a time!
I work from 9-5 and then either work my second job or hit the gym from 5:30-7:30. By the time I get home I have just enough energy to make something to eat, shower, and watch maybe one hour of TV. Keeping busy is a good distraction. Then on weekends when he’s not here I’ll go check out TJ Maxx or Marshalls for home goods, maybe get in an extra gym session, meet up with a girlfriend to have some wine. I actually find that I can fill my days up fairly easily. I actually get a lot of errands done on those weekends.

We both have jobs that periodically require large amounts of travel. His travel has slowed down quite a bit, but mine hasn’t really. He’s the one who is home alone these days. When I’m on travel, he calls it his “Secret Guy Time.” It’s when he watches the TV shows and movies that I don’t like, and eats pepperoni everything. We have two dogs to play with. And he likes to work in the yard.
When I’m the one who is home alone, I do “Secret Girl Stuff” which mostly consists of reading lots of books and not wearing pants. I LOVE living with my fiance, but as someone who had lived alone for years before we got together, I do relish the alone time too.

Mine is gone for 15 days and then home for 6 so most often I am home alone. I have gotten really used to it honestly now if he is home for more than that we have to get used to eachother again. Usually by the end of his days off I am ready for him to go back.

My Fiance has been traveling back and forth from CA since April unfortunately. He only gets to come on the weekends. He gets in at 5:30AM Fridays and then leaves Saturday afternoons/evenings. I normally do the same things I do when he is here plus watch more TV lol
