We have the KIVIK sofa from Ikea, and it is a similar style to this one, with square arms and removable covers.  I LOVE it. It is super comfortable and the cushions have held up very well even after 5 years.  My only complaint is that thier furniture is very low to the ground, but Darling Husband solved this by making us custom legs!

I have one, but it’s a regular couch, not a sectional. It’s microfiber, not the kind with the covers. It’s pretty terrible, TBH. It stains really easily and always looks grungy, though that wouldn’t be an issue if you had covers, I suppose. Also within a few months, my dog had dug a hole in it just from his nest making activities. It’s also not very cushy, it’s too firm for my taste. It’s become the dog couch lol.

I have the Ektorp couch and loveseat.  No complaints so far–have had them just over a year.  I especially love the machine washable slip covers!

I’ve never had an Ikea sofa that wasn’t uncomfortable. You can always feel the wood frame, particularly on the arms. It’s good for a second living area or a bedroom but I’d go higher for a main couch.

ButternutPoppy :  Not sure, I looked on their website and I don’t see it, so it’s possible that they don’t sell it anymore. I got it probably 5 years ago. We did the blanket thing for years and just got a slip cover for it because it just looks so dingy. Slip covers are a must.

twentytwenty :  I tend to agree. Fine for sitting and having a cup of tea, but not sprawling out on a netflix binge.

We use an older model Vimle from ikea in our living room and have for the past 6+ years. It is low to the ground but that works for us and it’s so comfy my bf actually enjoys sleeping on the couch when I kick him out of the bedroom for snoring lol.

ButternutPoppy :  I used to have a similiar couch from ikea at my first apartment. I found that it looked cheap and would fall apart. If you can spend the extra money, i would go somewhere else. Ikea is great for some things. I don’t think couches are one of them.

ButternutPoppy :  Yeah it’s tough, couches are expensive, especially sectionals. We ended up getting a really comfortable couch with recliners on the ends for about $800 from a furniture store and that has served us well, but we want to get rid of both that and the ikea one for a leather sectional and hot damn those are pricey!

I bought one while I was in college (like $250) and although it was small, I loved it & it lasted a while! Wish I could remember the name..
