fancystephanie :  Just a note re: intervieweing long distance, both myself and my fiance have done tons of phone and skype interviews with different companies and everyone so far was completely fine with it!

fancystephanie :  I haven’t, but one of my best friends did. They ultimately broke up as she wanted to return to the coast (she’d said this before they moved as the plan was just to live across the country while her Boyfriend or Best Friend went to law school). He either changed his mind or wasn’t honest originally.

Make sure you’re on the same page before you move (marriage, kids, goals moving forward, will you always stay in Richmond etc). All of that being said, sometimes you have to take a big, scary leap for something wonderful to happen. So, if everything is great, take the leap and know that you’re going to be with the man you love. I also strongly recommend that you start applying for jobs before you move, even if you don’t have one before arriving. However, if you have a job before you move, it’ll make for a much smoother transition (you don’t want to move in with someone only to be stressed over money and finding a job from the outset).
