I totally purchased my dress from eBay. Never even tired on the style or the designer dress before. I was super nervous but the deal was to good to pass up. A $4000 Reem Acra dress for $180. It fit perfect minus the length but over all, I am pleased with my online selection. However, buying a dress sight untried on is not for everyone but I was a bride on a budget and I am happy with my dress choice.

I ordered my dress from simplybridal.com and am waiting for it to get here (should be 1-2 more weeks)! I have never even tried on any dress before either! I just know I wanted an a-line dress and something affordable!

I did! I fell in love with Maggie Sottero’s Edwina Marie online and found it used on ebay for $400. I couldn’t pass it up and ended up ordering it! I was so nervous that I wouldn’t like it, but knew that I was stuck with it either way. Luckily, I loved it and never regretted it:)

@SimplyMrsC:  I suspect its White One (basically same company as Pronovias) 411 or Tigris (they changed the name to Tigris in the 2012 season). By research, I meant I sent an obnoxiously long list of questions to the seller, who wore the dress a couple years ago. I wanted to know how it had been stored, where every single stain was (which she actually couldn’t show me because it was cleaned and sealed in a box, but there were pics of it on her facebook that she showed me so I could see the “before” pictures), I wanted her to send me a recent picture of the dress (to prove she actually had it, I’m terribly suspicious of people I can’t meet). She ended up being super nice and willing to fulfill all of my requests with the exception of actually unsealing the box.

What color is it? Mine is oyster, which looks really different in the stock photos vs in picture and non photoshopped pictures. I can PM you a list of questions to ask the seller if you want.

Yes and a 680 dollar one! All the bridal shops told me it would take 4-6 months to get the Allure dress in and I only had 3 months to go so I ordered it online. It took a while and was stressful waiting but i got it, had it fixed to my body perfect and I love it!

I think I misread your previous comment. The white one 411/Tigris has essentially no train. The La Sposa (also related to pronovias) Fanal (my dress) has a train that is “semi cathedral” length. I forget the actual length, but its a couple feet long.

I’m slouching in this photo, but it shows you the straight across back:

I have seen the Fanal back altered to be a V like in this photo:

I would ask her if she altered the back to a V, which it looks like she did. I’m debating altering mine to be like that, it just depends on how much the alteration costs. I PMed you the list btw.

The only time I would risk ordering a dress I hadnt tried on would be if I tried on a similar silhouette by the same designer.
