i’ve been thinking about it! I wish I could wear a pair of dead pointe shoes, but I don’t have any :[ I say do it!

What if they get wet? Will they be uncomfortable to walk/stand in all day?

Otherwise, GO FOR IT!

I think it’s a lovely idea! My friend did it at her wedding and has some really cool photos of her and her shoes. As long as you don’t have to walk on any rough terrain or wet grass, I think you’ll be great!

I wore ivory ballet shoes for prom, two years in a row and I didn’t have any problems beyond walking on gravel (that hurts, a lot.) I say go for it, it’s up to you if you want other shoes for church.

You also might want to sew satin ribbons on them and remove the elastic to doll them up for the wedding.  It is not hard to do and the satin attachs in the same place where the elastic is now

My daughter has danced for 7 years and I have sewn lots of elastic and ribbon to ballet and pointe shoes use a good needle and clear thread (aka fishing line)

My only word of advice is that they are extremely thin with no arch support.  If you can handle that type of shoe, then go for it!  I personally know I need something a little more supportive…I will have a few bridal pictures done with my pointe shoes, though.
