My center stone is inbetween a 1/2 and 3/4 carat, at .67 carats… It’s perfect and I woudn’t have wanted it any smaller/bigger.

No but I made sure when he bought it that it wasnt a large stone. Also made sure it wasnt a solitaire, didnt have claws, and was not a typical engagement ring.

I have had a few people ask me if it was real, i think that is becuase of the strange cut and it is much larger than anything in this region, but I don’t think I would have gone with a smaller stone.

My mother however did get hers down graded from her second marriage. it was particularly high becuase it was 2 cts and she kept getting it caught on things. She down graded to a 1.5? and got a bezel setting to fix that.

If I could magically change my ring, I might make the center stone a tad smaller. I think 7mm instead of 8mm might look a little better. Since I wanted a round Morganite it was hard to find good quality stones and I couldn’t find one in the right color any smaller than 8mm. That’s okay though, I do love my ring!

Why not tell him what you want. I dont believe engagement rings should be a complete surprise since too often they turn out way to wrong.

The stone isn’t too big or too small. I actually don’t know the size- I’ve never asked, but after looking on here I’d estimate somewhere  between .3-.5 ct. I think it’s perfect for my finger, but I’d rather it be shorter. I don’t know any ring terminology, lol, but the setting rests upon a smaller band of diamonds and the top of the diamond is like half an inch above my finger. It gets in the way a lot, and I have to worry about it too much. I love everything about it except that.

Heck no!  I love it, it was a perfect balance of cost, quality and size.  But if money werent part of the equation, I definitely wouldnt  mind bigger.

My finger size is 3.25 … I have a 1.3 carat center stone, with 2 side stones plus a micro pave band – at first I thought it was too blingy…but now I love it!  I know some people with my size finger might think the stone is too big buuuutttt….let it shine Cool

No no ring size. I cant believe how many bees need to get there ring resized as soon as they get them. I told my Fiance my ring size after dating for a few months just incase down the road you know.
