Ok so in our quest for a gemstone e-ring. i fell head over heels in LOVE with this ring on etsy….they are willing to do it in a few gemstones that we are debating on…which are a blue sapphire, a peridot, and an emerald….(lab created i believe im not too concerened with that), but i wanted to hear the good bad and the ugly of this venture! if anyone has any experience. here is what the ring looks like. im on my phone so i dont have the mark ups of what it would look like with the stones i want in it, just a stock photo i sent my SO…a bonus is they do a custom band that i can get as a set too! im leaning towards either white gold or yellow gold…(i think yellow make look better with the blue and green!)
here she is!
sorry not the best pics….but hot damn shes pretty!
here is the link as well

I’m personally not a huge fan of emerald (for some reason all of the one’s I’ve seen look fake to me — I think it’s something to do with the colour). And you see a lot of blue saphire rings on here – so I voted for peridot! It’s really different from the norm and I think that’s a good thing. I agree that the warm tone of peridot would go nicely with yellow gold. But I think white gold would also look good becasue the diamonds will be white, so it will blend better in that sense.

I chose Peridot in white gold. I love the color of Periodot. Keep in mind that it’s a little softer than others (about 6.5)
I agree that different is a good thing. There are lots of beautiful sapphires here….and I would love to have another green stoned girl(my ring is being made with a Chrysoberyl center stone)

I would choose a harder stone like a sapphire because personally, I am not the most graceful person.
But keep in mind that there are lots of different colors of sapphires! If you like green (just taking a guess because you like peridot and emerald =) ), you could see about getting a green sapphire (probably won’t find one as light as peridot, but you coudl still get a green one… might be closer to emerald color, but personally I find green sapphires very beautiful).
I have a peach sapphire with diamonds in rose gold from EidelPrecious on Etsy!
