I think that we always want what we can’t have! It’s totally natural to feel this way 🙂

I’m not engaged yet but I’ve been completely involved in designing my ring because I’m a designer and the sort of person who is very picky about tiny little details… Sometimes I wish he had done it all himself without my imput though!! Our poor men can’t win haha… At the end of the day though I know that I am happier having designed my own ring. However, I can tell you that I have a sort of “promise ring” from my soon to be Fiance that I wear on my right hand. It was a complete suprise and when I first saw it I was a bit shocked because it’s the opposite of what I would have chosen for myself! However I can tell you that after wearing it for nearly 3 years I love it more everyday because of what it represents and what it meant to us at the time. Hopefully your ring will grow on you. Have you tried on wedding bands with it yet? Maybe you can find a beautiful wedding band that will add to your ring and make them beautiful as part of a set!

I would say, wait to see if it grows on you. If it doesn’t, maybe you could change the setting as an anniversary present?
