There’s a website, it’s HILARIOUS. Called “uglybabiesareus” Google it. Some of these babies are so ugly that they’re cute. But I just love babies, so maybe I’m biased. πŸ™‚

I’m currently pregnant and all my facebook friends with babies I find just ugly. I don’t know if it is hormones in reverse- like I’ll find my baby beautiful and all others unattractive or if this batch of babies is particularly unattractive. I did leave my facebook open and my mother gasped and said ‘Who’s baby is that?!!?!?!” So i’m thinking it’s objective. It IS freaking me out though. I always said I wanted a baby with hair since I didn’t have any as a baby forever. But the Ugly babies have tons of hair and it just is making everything worse. So now I’m totally on board with a bald baby. Bring that on. Maybe hormonally we find babies that look differently then our own genetics to be less attrative? So we find other babies less attractive? Except little asian babies which continue to frustrate me with how adorable they are and how not asian my husband and I are.

I have seen many many ugly babies!! I’m hoping PP were true when saying you won’t think that about your own baby haha. My biggest fear is having a bald baby, I think babies that are bald are the ugliest. Here’s to hoping it has some hair!

I find some babies just take a few months to get “cute”.   Some are cute right away, but some not so much.  My friend’s baby was born and it’s one eye seemed to go off in it’s own direction and his head was a little mishapen (not from birth, from fluid build up that lasted a couple months).  But once he chubbed up and lost his newborn look, he got super cute.  Now he’s about to turn 1 and he’s the cutest little thing.   Some babies just don’t come out cute lol

@hspw714:  I always thought i would know if my baby wasn’t that pretty. From the 3D scans, people would be like “oh she’s so cute” and I would think to myself “but have you seen that nose?” Lol …

however my baby turned out to be the most beautiful πŸ˜‰ but that’s not just me. I literally have strangers on the street stopping me to tell me so.

In any case, I know of an example where a MOTHER also knew her child wasn’t that pretty. My friend’s sister actually cried because she thought her baby was so ugly. Luckily, everyone around her naturally assumed she cried because she was so happy the baby was there πŸ˜€ and the baby turned out to be super pretty, which for my daughter you never know, things could still change πŸ˜‰

also my mum told me about a lady she met at the library when I was a baby and that lady had two babies (not sure whether twins or she was just talking in hindsight) and she said she definitely realized just by the way people looked at her kids or talked about them that the one was not as beautiful and that that was really painful.

My friends baby was not cute AT ALL when she was born…hands down the ugliest baby I’ve ever seen.  And my friend has no problem telling people that haha. She laughs about it all the time. That said, the little one is now about 14 months and is seriously beautiful. I can’t get over how cute she is.

My mom also says that I was the only cute baby she had…neither of my brothers were cute as infants.

Even if my children aren’t cute in the beginning, I think I’ll think they are…at least until I look at the pictures 10 years later πŸ™‚

I wonder this too! I remember me & my mom looking at pics of one of my younger brothers when he was a baby and we agreed he had a funny looking face lol. She wondered why.she didn’t see it at the time so I’m assuming since every mom sees their baby grow rather they will think they’re attractive.

I love my little bubbas to death but he certainly had his moments of non-cuteness. For example:

It’s normal and doesn’t prevent you from loving the little ones.

I think he’s adorable at this age!

Omg my cousin’s little girl was the UGLIEST.baby I have ever seen in my life. It was her husband’s face on an infant and most of us thought it. Now she’s so beautiful!

I think it depends! I’ve seen SOME UGLY ASS BABIES! almost like that seinfeld episode! But usally their only ugly a couple days after they’re born, when their heads are still in a cone lmao. my nephew was hideous (and I made sure my sister knew it-I couldn’t help it I was 9yo) but he has (Thankfully) grown into his looks!

I think he was so ugly was because they decided to have pictures taken like 2days after he was born! I plan on waiting atleast a month before taking photos of any of my newborn kids!

When my niece was born nearly four years ago, I fell in love with her before I’d even met her! When I saw the very first photo of her, she looked like an alien. Both eyes were at far opposite sides of the face. She’s absolutely beautiful right now though. When her brother was born, he was really cute. He’s only getting cuter. As for my second niece (their sister), she was absolutely beautiful. She still is, but she’s getting such a big head – literally! She’s putting on weight which is good but her head is so big. She’s still really cute though πŸ˜› I think I’m biased cos my other two nieces (Kiara born April last year and Zahra September this year – yep, sisters) are both so beautiful!

Most kids to me are cute, but there are some exceptions. I’m sincerely hoping my kids are beautiful, but I reckon they will be πŸ˜›

@hspw714:  I’ve never had kids, but I’ve got friends whose babies were seriously weird looking and they thought they were beautiful. I think mothers always see the beauty!

Ugly baby often does not translate to ugly adult though – my sister was an adorable baby/child and is just average now. I was a funny looking kid and I’ve improved my way up to ‘average looking’ in adulthood!
