you may be super early or still have HCG in your system from the MC (not sure how long ago that was) but it is possible that you did ovulate in the last 6 weeks. Get a digital and test again in a couple days.

sarahfaye :  Okay then that should be out of your system by now. You could have ovulated late or your cycle is just highly unusually long and frustrating. Can you call your dr/nurse perhaps and run it by them?

sarahfaye :  what brand?  Here are the stats relative to missed period for 3 major brands (digital vs non).

If it was a FRER manual, it’s unlikely you’re pregnant.  If it was a clearblue or something you very well may be..

Are you temping and charting?  If you’re not you probably just ovulated a little bit later.  So possibly you will end up pregnant or it’s a couple days early still.  Not really a false negative IMO, just might not be late enough.  I don’t think there are many false negatives at all, the HPT can detect certain levels  of hcg.  Either the hcg level is there or it isn’t.  If AF is late and no BFP then you just ovulated a bit later.  You could still end up pregnant, you just aren’t yet.  And there is always a 2-3 day window between when the embryo implants and when hcg is high enough to detect by a HPT.  I would just test again tomorrow or the next day.

sarahfaye :  yeah that last bit of information is kind of important, lol.

I mean this as gently as possible, but why are you asking other people if they have ever experienced this when you *know* your body does this?  Comparing your body to itself is way more useful than comparing it to strangers on the internet.

Good luck bee, I hope your hunch is right and you get a sticky rainbow baby! 🙂
