We are!  I’m going one more year (doing a victory lap, so it’ll be my 5th year) and he’ll have 2-3 years to go (took a lot of time off to work/do military/etc).  I had lots of friends look at us like we’re insane for doing it, but we already live and act like we’re married — it’s important to us.

The only pain in the butt part is that when I get a job we have to move somewhere that he can still go to school — our current plans allow that, but there have been grad schools head-hunting me and it’ll be a tough decision come that time!

I would like to, but he is a nursing student which, as you know, is very stressful. He has to pay for it entirely on his own so it may not be practical for us to take that what should be spent on tuition.

I’m almost done with college so would be planning my junior or senior year.

Yup! lots of us in the same boat. He’s been working for 5 years and we’ve lived together for 2 (in a house we bought). I’ve already done graduate school, but am going back for a compressed 2yr nursing program. We’re getting married in in the spring between my winter and summer semesters. I think because we’ve already lived together for a while and he is financially stable we’ll be not too bad. Also, many of my credits transfer over, so i’m not too worried about the school work, but I know clinical practicum will be busy. But hey! When is life not busy?! I think it means a lot when you can keep things realistics and support each other through stressful times. Signs of a happy future partnership 🙂

Yes, I will be partway through my doctorate when we get married. I am working full-time this year in between undergrad and postgrad and saving like crazy… for the wedding and other things. I used to insist I’d never get married whilst still studying, but I guess I changed my mind!

I don’t think we’ll be getting married while I’m in school, but we may be getting married soon after (I have a feeling he’ll propose while I’m in school). So, that may mean I’ll be doing some long-distance wedding planning while actively doing research and writing a thesis. We’ll see how that turns out.

I should have already graduated, but I changed my major and now will graduate in 2018. Fiancé graduates May 2017. We are planning on getting married July 2017. We may change that depending on where he can get a job, though. If he can get one in the area of where I go to school, then we will get a house and I will commute to campus. Otherwise we may wait.

My fiancé will be in his senior year getting his chemical engineering degree. However, he is not “20 something” anymore. I have my Master’s but will be taking a few online classes to get a graduate certificate to develop my research skills before hopefully starting a doctorate program wherever we end up.

We’ve been living together for three years though. We were actually roommates before dating, so I don’t think either of us will have more household work to do. We will be having to work on immigration stuff and job hunting this year though. I’m excited to figure out where we are gonna settle down!
