For anyone who hasn’t read my story, DH and I are now at 13 cycles TTC, have had a normal SA, normal HSG, normal blood work, clockwork cycles, confirmed ovulation like clockwork and immaculate timing.. We saw a fertility specialist recently and they immediately did a transvaginal ultrasound (I’ve been asking my regular gyn for one for months but he refused saying that the HSG would show anything an ultrasound would, which is not completely true). The second the lady put the probe in, I saw it. I have a freaking polyp! So I’m hoping and praying that that is the reason for the lack of success TTC so far! I have to go get a hysterosonogram (saline ultrasound) to confirm that it is a polyp, location, and size/number, and if thats 100% what it is, then I will have a hysteroscopy to remove it.
Just wanting to hear success stories of anyone else who were trying for a while with no luck until a polyp was found and removed, I guess 🙂
Thanks in advance!!

It didn’t happen to me but my sister in law had the same thing happen. They had been trying for years. She had the surgery to get it removed and got pregnant with her first right after she was given the go by her doctor. She now has 2 beautiful children. One 2 1/2 yrs and one 10 months. I hope this is the answer for you!! Good luck.

Aww how awesome!! 🙂 Thank you for the positive story! I know everyone is different, but it gives me hope that this is my answer, and the only thing that was standing in our way! Fingers crossed and thank you again!

We were not trying for very long before I went in for a check up and they found some polyps. I had had them before, but not when we were TTC. They would always remove them and they would grow back, so I guess they had come back at that point. I had them removed in April and got pregnant in May (this was in 2014). It always felt to me that removing them really helped and the reason I think this is because I had been using the OPK testing strips and they wouldn’t show positive for ovulation, but after the removal they did show positive and that was the cycle we got knocked up. I hope it works out for you!!!!

Hmm, that is strange about your opks not being positive until after you removed them! But I’m glad it worked for you! Thankyou so much, I hope so too! 🙂
