Hi bees. I have 10 days to go until my wedding… eek! At the beginning of September I ended up getting the flu. Fever, cold sweats, body aches.. the whole 9. That lasted about 4 days Then about a week after that i ended up getting a cold and lost my voice. Then a couple weeks after that I ended up with a stomach issue complete with vomitting. NOW I am sick AGAIN. Yesterday after work, my throat started to feel scratchy. Then while I was sitting in my night class, I felt myself getting worse. I went to bed and took my temperature this morning and it’s 101.4 and my throat is still killing me! Also, cue the body aches again! Ugh… did any other bees find themselves getting sick like this when their wedding was getting close?
I hope I’m not sick on the big day!

I got sunburnt with a tan line and all PLUS a big fat cold sore in the week leading up to our wedding day. Miraculously, the cold sore disappeared and I looked like I had a lovely all over tan the day of. Little things like tan lines and sore throats matter far less in hindsight. Just relax, take some afternoon walks and try sleep loads / go to bed early. All the best for your wedding day !!!

nothing that serious, but I waxed my eyebrows 3 days before the wedding, and I know that my right eyebrow always will “burn”. Luckily, the woman who did my makeup could cover it up.
I was in isolation mode before my wedding. The entire office, and my step son/daughter in law were both seriously sick (she wound up with pneumonia and missed the wedding, she also missed my shower because she just gave birth a week before to her beautiful daughter, she is beating herself up, I told her it’s ok….). If anyone came near me, I had a can of Lysol that I was ready to use. I always make fun of my sister and her hand sanitizer, but I must admit I did go out and get some…

I caught a bad cold; a stye in one eye; and, bug bites all over my legs and two on my left hand. <- Sounds like a hot mess, I know. lol My cold died down so I only had a sniffle here and there. The bug bites were covered with makeup; and, the stye was going away by the time my wedding day came around.
Take vitamins and try to rest up. You have 10 days to get better and I’m sure you will!

I was making Pumpkin Bread for our OOT guests two days before the wedding, and I got a huge burn on my hand. We hid it in pictures, but I felt it all throughout the wedding.
I hope you feel better soon, just try to rest! 10 days is lots of time!

I was the most sick I have ever been the week leading up to my wedding! I started feeling bad on the Wed. before my wedding. My stomach was feeling awful and I couldn’t eat anything. I thought it was nerves but then my sister came home from school with the same thing on Thursday. I kept feeling worse as the week went on and by the time of the rehearsal dinner Friday night I was feeling awful. I hadn’t ate anything since Tuesday and I couldn’t even keep fluids in me. I ended up going to the ER during the dinner and the gave me fluids through an IV since I was dehydrated. By Saturday morning (wedding day!) I still felt bad but started feeling better as the day went on. My bridesmaids were wonderful and helped get everything ready! I made it though the day feeling ok thanks to the fluids. Still didn’t eat until the next Monday during the honeymoon. It worked out but was rough!!
I think mine was a 24 hour virus since it was going around at the time but I was drained from getting ready for the wedding so I couldn’t get rid of the virus. I wish I would have went to the hospital for fluids earlier so I could enjoy the rehearsal more. I’m just thankful the wedding went well!!
Good luck and try not to worry too much, it just makes getting better harder!

Oh no, you are scaring me! My friend’s husband had a stomach flu starting the night before the wedding, and spend most of the reception in the bathroom… This is my biggest worry, though, because most other things that could go wrong you can brush off or work around, but being super sick? Hard to deal with!
