There is so much build up and then it’s all over in a day.
Did you get the post wedding blues? Or the post wedding “horray-the-stress-is-over”s.
I cannot decide which i will get after my wedding. I always THOUGHT I’d be the type to love planning my wedding, but gosh I find it overwhelming and stressful haha. I’m thinking I’ll probably have relief tht it is over

I didn’t really get the blues, it was more like, “omg it’s over, yay! ……now what?” Haha, I finally had time to myself again, I just had to figure out what normal people did on weekends again.

I was very happy to be free of the planning stress.
But our wedding ended up being so much fun and perfect, I felt like it was a “high.” We floated on clouds on our wedding weekend as it was so great to have our favorite people together celebrating with us.
So after it was over, Darling Husband and I fell into a 2-week slump. Neither of us could get out of bed in the mornings, we were both dragging and mopey, and we were puzzled as to why we just felt “down.”
And then I read about post-wedding blues and realized, Hey, that’s what we had!

I didn’t get the blues either. My planning was stress free for the most part but I was relieved to not have the constant thought of “I should be doing something wedding related” or thinking about my growing to do list or staring at my list of guests who haven’t RSVP’d. I agree with PP, I had time to myself again and could talk to Darling Husband without having to talk about wedding details. I’ve been married 3 months and I think I am still on wedding burn out. I can’t watch any wedding related show anymore (Say Yes to the Dress, 4 Weddings, etc) with out getting bored and changing the channel. They were my favorite before. Even the reruns!

I really felt blue for a while. I was sad it was over.

@BulldogBride: Oh, I love me some bridal TLC shows 🙂
Except I dislike watching them now that I DO have a wedding to plan. Go figure. Weird.

I got a BFP!
No time to miss the wedding when I got my BFP like 5 days after coming back from our honeymoon!

@Gabthebee: Nope, I didn’t have time. Our house flooded 2 days after my wedding, so we were too busy remodeling to be sad lol. To be honest, I was glad the whole thing was over.

@housebee: Oh man, girl! Nothing says “welcome to married life!” quite like a flood. Yikes!
