@TheFutureMrsLamkin:

Yes, seriously thinking about getting an arm lift.  I have until Oct 2012 and they say it takes about a year for the scars to really look good.  Its about $5k though and we are trying to buy a house and pay down our debt, so maybe not.

Good for you. I had implants put in about 5 years ago. Best decision ever. I fill out wedding dresses like no ones business. I was an A cup as well. The only issue was that I made the decision not to have children so I got them done. About a year later, I got pregnant. They still look good though it was just not very well planned. We are going to have another baby soon and maybe a couple years after I have him/her, I will get them re-done.

One suggestion though, make sure you are very clear what size you want. Tell your doctor the max size you want to go and make sure he sticks with it. My doctor went a little too big because once he got in there he decided it would look better, but I didnt agree, so I ended up a little bigger than I wanted to go. Also, dont go with the doctor if you feel at all uncomfortable with him/her.

Good luck with your consult:D

I’m getting rhinoplasty before I get married. I don’t have it set up yet since I need to find a surgeon and that is daunting! I hate my nose and it’s asymmetrical in the nostrils. It’s very obvious in pictures and it’s the first thing I notice. I have to myspace angle my nose to not look to fat/droopy on one side.

I will not be getting married with this nose.

Go for it!  I had a breast augmentation over 7 years ago and I still think it was a great decision for myself.  Obviously, it’s a serious surgery, so do your research and pick a good surgeon too!

I didn’t get surgery for my wedding, but I did get veneers on several teeth and I started Botox injections about a year ago so perhaps that counts??

I had implants a few years ago, and I am in love with them. I love that I can wear anything now and fill it out. You won’t regret it! The recovery is quick and simple. Best of luck in your decision!

I am getting a tummy tuck! I normally would not even think of it but Im also getting my  Stomach muscles joined (not sure if thats the right word) back together. and i figured if im already doing the one i might as well do the other!

ETA: I am not doing this “for the wedding” Im getting the tummy tuck because I have to get my muscles sewn back together and figured i might as well get rid of the extra skin too…

I think getting surgery for one day is extreme and short-sighted.

But, it sounds like you have wanted this for a long time and are happy with your decision…hope it works out.

I’m getting Botox and restilyne filler in my huge furrow line in between my eyes. I know it’s not major or I guess even surgery but I’m still excited for the results.

I had my BA almost 10 years ago.  I waited until after I had children (breastfeeding reeks havoc on your breasts) and went from an A to a full C cup.  I never regretted them until more recently where I now feel they aren’t in proportion to the rest of my body.  I was 115 pounds when I got them and am now 130 pounds.  Along with my weight gain, my breasts are now a full D and in Victoria’s Secret bras, a Dirty Delete.  I feel like they’re too big.

As far as post operative advice, make sure you have frozen peas on hand – they work perfectly to pack in your surgical bra to keep the swelling down.  Not to scare you, but the pain for me far exceeded what I was expecting BUT it was short lived (I was off the pain meds on Day 2 and switched to Tylenol).

Tunacupcakes; I have one deep line right between my eyes. My mum has it too. Now that I’m older it’s supppper deep. Funny tho, my smiles lines I kinda like and won’t mess with those :p

ugh.. I WISH.  I’ve hated my nose my whole life, and as I get older it’s getting WORSE!  Apparently the tip starts to droop creating a witchy effect?  God getting older sucks.  Anywho, we’re eloping after a 4 month engagement, so looks like I’ll have to live with it.  I’m just going to tell my photog, and leave it up to him to hide.  It’s not perfect, but it’s free.
