I did photos for my Fiance (then boyfriend) for Valentines Day this year and he LOVED LOVED LOVED it! He thought they were fantastic! I had a book made and when he went thru and looked at them he thought they were tasteful yet sexy. A lot of brides do this for their grooms, and I have only heard positive feedback. My only concern, is that I know a lot of grooms open their gift in front of their groomsmen and I wouldn’t want those photos to be shared with the whole group.

lanvin19:  I had mine turned into a leatherbound photo book with cover. I got an amazing deal off groupon! I knew i wasn’t giving ot to him before because of his groomsmen would a;l be there when he opened his gift so  I was staying in our bridal suite the night before the wedding and I left it on the night stand (gift wrapped of course!) for him. Well one of my amazing bridesmaids talked to the front desk and when we got back to the room that night we had rose pedals on the bed and the book sitting on his pillow. He LOVED it he kept asking when did you do this? how did you do this? The photographer did the session in our home i told him it was done while he was at his bachelor parrty.

I actually won a boudoir session at a bridal show! I’m so excited to get these done… I’m planning to leave the album at our house on his pillow the night before, since I’ll be staying at the hotel of the reception the night before! I’m going to wrap it and leave a note to open alone.. And a card that says something like…. in case you get cold feet… With some cute socks! (he’s a foot guy..lol)

For the first valentines day my Darling Husband spent together (back when we were just dating) I gave him a series of boudoir photos where I was doing a strip tease. I went from fully clothed (in business casual), to stripped down to a frilly and barely there negligee. He LOVED them, and keeps them in his night stand…I’m assuming they still get regular ‘viewing’.

Fun fact. I kept that negligee and wore it on our wedding night…but he didn’t notice it was the same one. Boo! *thumbs down*

I’m actually doing one tomorrow for FI! His best man knows, so I will box up the prints and get him to give them to Fiance before the videographer etc arrives. I’m doing it with our wedding photographer so it will be a good icebreaker 😉

I have never heard of this before the Bee…maybe because I live in a very conservative area lol

I had them done. I stayed at a hotel the night before so I left the album warapped up on the bed assuming he would open it when he saw it. Next morning while we are getting ready I got one of my bridesmaids to ask her SO one of the groomsman who knew about to ask if he had opened it yet he hadn’t he ended up opening it in the car with his groomsman thankfully they all knew about it and didn’t look. If you do want to I suggest leaving it with strict instructions to open it alone

One of my girlfriends has a big fancy camera and we did the photos for her at her bachelorette weekend! It was soooo much fun! We are gonna do the same at mine! The pictures were tasteful and came out beautiful even with our basic photography skills!

I did! I still look at them when I’m having an ugly day. Darling Husband loved them. I gave them to him on our wedding night. It was just me and him at the end of the night in the hotel room.

Awesome idea!! I’m just worried that our children may unearth it someday and be traumatized 😂

how was the overall experience like? did you actually feel sexy doing it? Was there any awkward moments?

My mom did some for my dad one anniversary, and they were very tasteful, my sister and I found them in my dads office (we were teenages) and they didnt bother us at all.  I actually tried getting ahold of the lady that did my moms to do some for me, but couldnt find her contact info.

I have a friend who does them, and she offered to do mine for free as part of my wedding gift, however I found out I was pregnant around the time I planned to have them done, and was feeling to bloated and not very sexy so I put it off and got him a watch instead.  I plan to have her do them for our one year anniversary.

Also, my dad loves that my mom did that for him.  I say go for it!
