My fiance and I are in the process of planning our Disney World honeymoon…has anyone else gone there on a honeymoon?? What did you love/hate? Recommendations for things to do/not do? Any input is appreciated! We are looking into staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. My fiance was there once or twice when he was younger, and I’ve never been there. 🙂 Thanks!!

I am having a disney hooneymoon too (& wedding lol) its in late august early september of this year that we will be there so i dont have any reports on how it was but i do reccomend that you look into some ‘couple’ spa treatments, make reservations for fine dinning for a night, add some luxary to your honeymoon by having them decorate your room with rose petals and candles, depending where you are staying they have horse and buggy rides, romantic boat rides. If you want to hit up the night life go to downtown disney at night where they have a lot of music, shopping, drinks, food. Its great! & may i say that animal kingdom lodge is AMAZING. the resturant they have there is sooo good.
Here visit this site, http://www.disboards.com and scroll down to disney weddings and honeymoons and its a forum just like this one but mainly about disney honeymoons and weddings. I learned so much from checking out the forums.
Good luck you guys are gonna have so much fun!

We just got back from our honeymoon in Disney and it was AMAZING!
Some highlights of our trip: Dinner at Bistro de Paris, so delicious! and we did the Seas Aqua Tour. My HUSBAND (yay!) Loves aquariums and fish so it was more for him. I was terrified but it was actually really cool, we got to go in the big living seas aquarium at epcot and swim with the sting rays, sharks, sea turtles, and all the other little guys in there and it was so easy. I highly recommend it! We also drank around Epcot and then took the walkway over to the Boardwalk area. We did things we really wouldn’t have been able to do with kids.
I had an itinerary made up for each day which helped us make sure we did what we wanted and minimized our wait times for things. If you love Disney you will love a Disney honeymoon 🙂
I stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge when I was younger and I remember it being really awesome. You could see animals from your room and the accomodations were really nice.
