fourthnoel :  yes. It’s nice. You can get there whenever you want, sit wherever you want… It’s great.

fourthnoel :  I haven’t, just because I’m not a big movier goer in general but I totally would if there was something I really wanted to see. I’ll take myself to a fancy dinner alone though and that’s way more obvious that I’m by myself.

Yes, definitely! My FH is away for work for three month intervals, so if a good movie comes out while he is gone I see it by myself. Plus the local theater does $5 movie Tuesdays.

Don’t feel weird about it, just go for it!

fourthnoel :

Lots of times.  No big deal.  You don’t have to share your popcorn.

I love going alone! My fiancee talks sometimes, my bff likes to look at her phone, its annoying. You get to enjoy a night out on your own and you don’t have to share popcorn.

Everyone is so afraid to do things alone. Be brave and go out there!

I did a couple of weeks ago!  I wanted to see Ant Man and The Wasp as soon as possibe (before spoilers starting appearing online), and I couldn’t arrange an early enough time to go with friends so I just went by myself after work.  It was great – recliner seat, popcorn, glass of wine.  Didn’t feel weird at all.

I did it for the first time a couple of months ago! I really wanted to see RBG but everyone had either already seen it or had no interest, so I went by myself. It was nice not having to plan around anyone else’s schedule.

Yes, I especially love doing it when I travel alone.

I actually just did this for the first time the other day. And to make it “worse” I went to see a kids movie 😂 I would totally understand a woman by herself at Mamma Mia.

I thought it would be super awkward, and I was only driven to it because due to moving I wound up sleeping by myself in a sleeping bag in our old, empty apartment (no TV or even internet!) for one night without a car. The AMC was half a mile away and hotel Transylvania 3 sounded fun, and it wasn’t something my husband would be bummed at me seeing it without him, lol. It was extra funny because I ended up at the first ever showing of it and it was totally packed with parents and their kids. It’s one of those theaters that has assigned, reclining seats so I wound up sitting  next to people and it wasn’t even obvious I was alone. I’d do it again for sure.

lindsayE :  my husband sits through all the credits too! “Just in case” there’s an after credits even if we already googled it and it says there aren’t 😒

fourthnoel :  I did it 2 or 3 times in college. There were a couple of movies out that were English Literature and History classes related and the professors offered extra credits if you watched them and wrote a paper about it. I also had to attach the movie stubs.

I have! It’s not weird at all. Hell, I went to Disney World by myself once and it was amazing

riverqt :  How was it? I just read something that #metoo scene  will shake you to the core. What is it about exactly?

I actually prefer going to the movies alone. I bring my giant purse, stop at the store and load up on snacks, and have a blast. I prefer to go during the week when the theaters are fairly empty, or to the dollar movies. I try to avoid opening weekend because I usually end up squished between people and that’s not so fun. But yeah…I don’t think it’s weird at all.

I go alone all the time. I don’t want to drag Darling Husband to movies if I knw he’s not interested. Also we have a child with no local help so if there’s something we really want to see we’ll sometimes take turns going.
