My mom goes all the time by herself on discount night. I also go by myself when Darling Husband is on a work trip and there is something out that I know he won’t care to see.

Then again, I also go to sit down restaurants by myself which I have heard others don’t feel comfortable doing.

I don’t think it’s weird to do that type of stuff by yourself.

I almost always went alone when I was single. Now I go with my fiance, but we like the same movies. If there was something I wanted to see that he didn’t I would go alone.

I go alone all the time!! It’s the best. You don’t have to wait on anybody else or compromise on the movie/time. I also sneak in my own snacks and water bottle lol

fourthnoel :  I’ve done it a few times in the past. I used to do lots of night shifts so I was basically working opposite hours to all my friends with whom I would see typical chick flicks with. I used to have Tuesday mornings free before starting a shift at 4pm so I would do an 11am session on Tight Arse Tuesday for a chick flick on my lonesome!! The cinema at that time was always full of people with a minus 1!! 😁  Movies ate actually one activity that doesn’t get impacted on your ability to do it alone….

I do coffee and lunch by myself too now at a nice restaurant on my pamper and full shopping days. Before I never would but now I don’t care what others think. I’m great company and I have the best time with myself!!!😇

Quite literally one of my favorite things in the world.  I went and saw Sorry to Bother You by myself earlier this week.  I made plans to go see Eighth Grade and Will You Be My Neighbor this weekend, but had some friends interested in going so they’ll be joining but I would have gone alone no question.

I don’t love going to the movies, but I’ve gone to the movies myself a few times. I went last week actually, my fiance was out of town on business and I was feeling a little stir crazy being home alone. Neither my fiance nor my friends enjoy horror movies, so I went to see one of those.

I do plenty of other things on my own, resteraunts, concerts, museums, etc. Sometimes because it’s nice to just be by yourself for a while, and sometimes because I want to do something and no one else is interested. I quite enjoy it.

Back in college there was a semester where I had a 9 hour gap between classes. I went to school across town and I didn’t want to take the bus home and back. So a couple times I walked down the street to the mall and watched movies alone. I’ve missed out on seeing certain movies in theaters because none of my friends could get the time off or nobody wanted to go with me. So now if I really want to see a movie in theaters I won’t wait.

Honestly you’re just sitting there in the dark unable to talk anyway, so what’s the big deal?

I don’t do it often, but I have a few times. It not a big deal at all. People have better things to do than think about you!

Hope you had a great time! It’s funny that some might find it strange or awkward, especially considering it’s not like you can talk to other people duirng a movie anyway. I’d be much more scared of sitting at a proper restaurant on my own, or going to the football.

Have fun! I never have – usually when I get alone time I watch at home but I definitely would do this. Looks great. 🙂
