I will be doubling up my middle name when we get married So it will be my first name, my middle name, my maiden name and his last name.

I am! That’s exactly what I’m planning on doing! Firstname Middlename Mylastname Hislastname (without hyphen). 🙂 I had a similar post about this because I was wondering too what other people were thinking of doing as far as name change goes. I was really surprised to see how many people where planning on keeping their old name in some way or another… Check out the poll here http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/are-you-changing-your-name-1

I did this too!  I am literally going to have the longest name.  I just don’t want to give up my middle or maiden last name.  My first name is 9 letters, middle a mere 5, maiden 8 and new last name 10 letters. I put my middle name and maiden name as a two name “middle name.”

I wanted to but since I also wanted to change my old middle name to a maternal family name it would have required a court order.  I ended up decided it wasn’t worth it the hassle right then so I’m just First Maiden Last now.  Maybe I’ll change it some day.

I’m doing the exact same thing as @lulu mae. I don’t want to lose any part of my name just because I’m marrying him. So I’m just adding his to the end of mine.

My mom kept her maiden name when she married my dad and my sister and I were given both names. So I have been a 4 name person all my life! my name now is First Middle Mom’sLast Dad’sLast. Now I’m trying to decide if i want to take out my middle or go with 5 names!

I am thinking I want to do First Mom’sLast Dad’sLast Hubby’sLast…whooo a mouthfull!! but i dont want to give up my names all together! I’m not sure what we are going to do for our kids though….

I’m thinking about keeping my last name in my name but it would make my name ridiculously long…My name is Kathryn middle name, middle name last name as it is. So if I do keep my last name in my name I’d be Kathryn Middle name middle name middle name last name.

Laughing about this one.  I’m Portuguese and we have a first name, middle name, mothers maiden name, and fathers (family) last name.  I’ll have 5 names once Fiance and I get married!  FI is scared for our kids!  🙂

I never used my middle name, but since it’s on my birth certificate, it’s on all my ID.. I wanted to remove my middle name, and only have My First My Last His Last… But I would have to pay in order to get my middle name removed; so I just kept it in there…. For my IDs. But I just go by My First His Last most of the time (when I remember, or else I go My firstMy last…

I have four names, with my maiden name as a second middle. I chose this option rather than to take two last names because this gives me the option of using my maiden name but doesn’t make it a requirement. I am alphabetized under my husband’s last name though. Most of the time I just go by First HisLast but I like having my whole name in there too.

I have 4 names, and more government and employer systems need to update their programs so they can actually enter all 4 names…it’s a bit frustrating at times.

I’m also planning to do it this way. I just dont like the idea of losing my last name completely, but I wanted to take his name also. I briefly considered a hyphen, but as a soon-to-be teacher I figured it would be better, professionally, to only have one last name.
