We didn’t use one.  Our cake had a cascade of roses from the top to the bottom tier- I thought that was more then enough to dress it up.

Haha! It’s funny that you would say this because I so wanted a cake topper and got outvoted by my Fiance and mom! We had flowers instead and I can’t say I regretted it at all.

We just had flowers on ours and I loved it.

I think most people go the flowers route if they don’t have a topper but I would also love to see other ideas!

We’re going topless! I wanted a monogram originally but our cake has a lot going on we didn’t want to take away from it with a topper. You could always display the topper on the cake table instead of the cake!

It never even occurred to me to get one.  Then again, I almost forgot to even ask the caterer about cake!  I skipped a lot of the “traditions” though because I don’t think they add anything.

We had one, but it kept falling off, so we didn’t use it. The cake looked better without it in my opinion anyway.

Nope! Just put fresh flowers on top of ours. I thought toppers were a waste of money.

I never found a cake topper that did much for me. I didn’t have any fresh flowers either. Here’s what ours looked like!

I had a 10sec convo with Fiance about this option, and judging from the look on his face, the topper has been completely vetoed. I don’t mind since we’re planning on having flowers on it.

We’re not planning to have one. We’re having thistles and FI’s family tartan on the cake

We had one; we could have done with or without one. If I didn’t end up ordering one; I would have had even more flowers to cover up the top part.
